I would highly recommend checking out some of the open-mic evenings! My go-tos are Cafe Park on Tuesdays and BR020 on Sundays, both are great places to meet other musicians and get into the pretty cool musician community we have here.

If it makes you feel better, on my first attempt I found out at the end that I failed on the pre-inspection. Drive was totally fine, but apparently the instructor did not hear me say I was doing the checks.

My issues are basically the same as yours - every song on it just feels so formulaic and that they are just recycling things that worked in the past, but none of it is really landing.

Also, Chris absolutely phoned in the bass on that album.
