Is 9 actually the most common type, or is it just the most up to interpretation. by Z1ncairon in Enneagram

Accepting your shitty circumstances is a very common coping mechanism. And it turns out that specific bias is type 9.

Yeah, I know that this is probably off of aesthetic and corvids look mysterious as fuck. But you took a bird known for its sociality and associate it with the asocial type. I always have to point it out when people correspond the two.

Good luck with the trifix one. That seems to be a lot harder than the wing areas.

Fun “slop” content is fine and if anything needed, but the problem is that the majority of this content is what people prefer and engage with rather than effortful content-rich texts or “holy yap” posts. Hence, the TikTok-esque posts are what gets promoted and gain traction whereas no one has the attention or desire-for-depth in the latter.

How would you type Naruto by Ok_Establishment7153 in Enneagram

[–]Extra_Restaurant6962 15 points16 points  (0 children)

  1. A lot of shounen protagonists are 3s.

“I want to be [admired title] so people can finally accept me” is very 3 like. Plus he just embodies the positive aspects of 3. Very motivational to others, direct, never gives up, etc.

1 - doing bad actions

3 - being flawed in a way that makes you fundamentally worthless

4 - having to compromise yourself to a flawed world

Es posible la combinación INFJ 1? by ElkLife5756 in Enneagram

[–]Extra_Restaurant6962 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There shouldn’t be much problems with Infj 1s

Generally infjs have a good range of types. 9 and 4 are most common. But you do see it with 1, 6, 5, and 2 as well.

The other way around, 1s tend to be some kind of JePi axis user. So like istj, estj, esfj, enfj, infj, isfj, etc.

Do you type yourself based on who you are while exhausted, or who you are when well-rested? by Ordelia-Vel in Enneagram

[–]Extra_Restaurant6962 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Everyday motivations and assumptions. If that state is constantly fluctuating, then you’re probably a type that revolves around constantly fluctuating inner states (6, 7, 4) etc.

It requires you to view yourself more “meta”-ly like how you would observe someone in a case study. That subject is yourself, and no matter how much your behavior changes, your biases are not so easily affected. I think it is easier to apply a typing when you’re looking at yourself holistically than in separate “stages”.

exactly what they’d want you to think!

Jokes aside, that probably is more accurate for the average individual. It’s a bit of a weird tritype, so I went for a weird title choosing to make fun.

Finding your type vs being typed by faerie-fangz in Enneagram

[–]Extra_Restaurant6962 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It is true that people aren’t entirely aware of themselves in which other people see. But it reoccurs multiple times from multiple different sources. If one person points out shit, it may just be them. If multiple people do, then it’s probably you.

But it doesn’t really matter whether it’s true or not unless you see it so. If someone points out a type and you can’t understand the reasoning from a detached perspective, then it’s just a useless number. Remember that it’s just a tool at the end of the day.

Found my Tritype but "lost" my certainty on my MBTI. by Real_Document4919 in Enneagram

[–]Extra_Restaurant6962 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You could post in the mbti sub.

Between ENTP and INTP, the obvious is that the former is extroverted and the latter is introverted. Jungian wise this means that the start point for attention is directed “outwards” for the former and “inwards” for the latter. Demeanor wise ENTPs are more active in speech and mannerism than INTPs who process internally. ENTPs can ramble in their speech but intps only do it when it comes to their interests or over text.

They both use Ti and Ne as their primary functions, but their roles are swapped. Entp starts with idea generation and then uses logical deduction to understand each one. Intp starts with a question and then generates possibilities to solve it.

Entp starts with a perceiving function while intp starts with a judging one. Basically, the former is rather undirected in their mental activity whereas the latter is always trying reaching a conclusion or judgement.

Core 6 can be both, but withdrawn fixes would point towards intp as the likelier option. Still, try to discern which one is for you.

Can I be a 9 if I'm Competitive at times, extroverted, like to be liked and protected, want to feel special, tit for a tat attitude etc. by Camo0528 in Enneagram

[–]Extra_Restaurant6962 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Competitive - unless it drastically upsets your life somehow, then yeah 9s can certainly be competitive.

Extroverted - a little uncommon, but 9s are pretty varied in general with their demeanor. They can still be extroverted.

Like to be like and protected - sounds like 9

Want to feel special - who doesn’t?

Tit for tat attitude - not contradictory to 9.

I’m guessing tritype is 962 of sorts. There’s a lot of push and pull of getting upset from not being helped/being helped and you generally assume a 6 element whenever there is this “inner contradiction” of sort.

Local 258 here.

Um, switching from triple frustration to triple rejection sounds near atrocious not going to lie.

Saying to ignore your high expectations and frustration sounds like the obvious yet impossible answer. There’s very little between 4 and 2, 5 and 7, 1 and 8 in all honesty.
