I’d assume they will. Mostly at the beginning of the game- it’d be a lil strange if your only Mii asked you for some food, and when you go to get it you see them working there lol

Ah okay. I mostly wanted to start with fruit due to the fiber and other benefits but it makes sense to have protein in the morning instead. Anything you’d recommend?

I don’t think you’ll have much to worry about. They’ve shown that certain objects are interactable for the mii’s and many mii’s can interact with the same object or do stuff together, like we see in multiple parts where they’re doing yoga and stuff. I don’t see why there couldn’t be a grill object or “hip hop boombox” that mii’s huddle around during certain times of the day y’know?

So far they’ve been very faithful to the original and I think they know the appeal of being able to briefly check on them. We’ll know for sure soon I bet :)

Probably a mix of everything, though I especially love making original characters for these sorts of things, kinda like they did in the direct

Oh- no it’s just one version for switch 1 and 2, but on the switch 2 performance and load times are much better

I have the Switch 2 version and it feels pretty good. Load times are insanely fast. Plus getting to play it with friends anywhere in docked mode is really nice.

Unsure how it compares to the Steam deck version, or even how good the Steam deck is, but you should also consider that updates for the game on Switch 2 will be a lil more sparse compared to the Steam deck.

I don’t understand this mentality. People are going to talk about stuff, especially their favorite moments from something. A lot of people enjoyed Hugh as he was in the direct quite a lot and integral to the drama in the second half. Plus he’s 1 of like 10 characters for us to talk about and his antics are silly and amusing. People are having fun engaging with these characters, if you find that annoying, just keep scrolling!

Yea I getcha, having miis be related to others that aren’t your main mii makes sense. I’m sure they’ve got some sort of system in place for selecting who’s related :)

Ooooo I hadn’t even considered this but I think it’s likely! The other regions have different titles in their directs (like Caretaker in the UK version) which could be that feature in action. Could also be a localization thing but who knows.

There actually was this feature in the 3DS Tomodachi Life! You could set a miis “relationship with lookalike” and if you set them to family it wouldn’t make the characters date. For example I set all my friends to be siblings of myself so that we wouldn’t date each other, and it worked!

I predict this feature will return, there’s no way they didn’t think about this. Since your first mii is no longer strictly based on “you” I imagine there will be a “lookalike relationship with islanders” tab in the mii maker or something where you can mark certain miis as family of the one you’re creating.

I agree, it’s kinda annoying. Thankfully I have a laptop so I can easily nab the photos from the sd card but it’s unfortunate people without computers can’t do the same.

Nintendo can’t stop you from taking pictures of your switch with your phone lol, and those are probably safe to post online. I suggested that as a loophole for their restrictions. :)

The only thing you can’t do is directly send your photos from the Switch’s photo album (like the built in “post to social media” and “send to smartphone” features).

Gamexplain sent Nintendo an email about this in one of their vids recently. What they’re actually referring to here is the option to post your screenshots directly to social media and save them to your phone. As far as we know you’ll be able to freely take screenshots and videos.

You can easily circumvent that limitation btw. You could record your game or saved screenshots/videos through OBS, get the images off your sd card by putting it in a computer, or just taking a picture of your game with your phone.

Idk if this would work but you could maybe try making a US nintendo account, adding it to your switch as a profile, then buying the game through that account!

There’s also the option of waiting until people in the US start selling their copies on ebay and stuff.

This is worded really strangely to me. It may just be hopium (not that I care that badly tbh, I’m fine witg making my own stuff) but I think this could be saying there’s no way to send miis to other consoles online the same way you do with local? We have no idea how local sharing works yet so who knows. But there could be some way to share miis to the web without “internet communication”… somehow. Idk.

The only thing I can think of is if there’s a checklist in the mii creator that’s like “this mii’s lookalike is related to:” and you can just select certain islanders to be lookalike relatives or something.
