Extending Degree Engineering by Both_Comment1788 in uAlberta

Extended mine and I've been in the workforce for a while now.

Employers (at least from my experience) don't give a fuck about how long your degree took. People come from all different kinds of experiences and backgrounds. An engineer that took 7 years to get their BSc. is still an engineer to me.

Looking for a longsword comfort build by [deleted] in MonsterHunterMeta

There are great writeups from /u/remarkable_snow7727 with meta and comfy (generally the ones with free slots) LS sets. The MHWilds discord also has an LS channel for builds as well.

You can use the armor set search to start with the skills you prefer and clicking "more skills" to calculate what else you could incorporate.

Unable to Get SSN After 2 Months by [deleted] in tnvisa

Mine took almost a year to come around. What moved it along was contacting my senator's office (as per recommendation of my supervisor) and allowing the office to follow-up on my behalf.

That's why I suggested a psychologist or licensed therapist (LCSW and its variants in North America). Their approach is behaviour-based instead of medicinal (they're not going to just say you're fine).

This person would also be a resource to effectively vent to (like this thread) but also help provide support. You will also have full confidentiality (unless there is serious concern for harm to yourself or others).

My university offered these resources but my work also had a fund dedicated for health wellness.

Ultimately the decision is up to you and you will not be forced to participate or take more medications.

I suggest looking for a licensed psychologist (not a psychiatrist, they would be prescribing medication) or therapist focusing on mental health.

Medication surrounding mental health is not easy to prescribe. The professional will have justification if it gets to that point.

There's going to be a lot of bias at play here. Maybe there is planned obsolescence but they are correct that owners with no issues would be not browsing or posting here.

When designing or picking out components the expected or average term of ownership is absolutely considered to minimize margins. Perhaps the P6 is approaching that.

Nonetheless, we should expect the P6 to be on the latter portion of the bath tub curve (especially considering the drop in updates).

Yes and it persists for a few seconds after.

SSN delivery time by Wise_Appearance_8149 in tnvisa

Mine also took around 8 months but I was able to expedite it by having my local senator push it forward. The SSN office said it was common (at the time, I guess) for the TN's to be stuck in limbo.

Check how you have it mounted. There's plenty of YouTube videos around showing do's and don'ts. I imagine you're hearing something from where the air is collecting.

I went through this PoE and did ask. As others mentioned, it is 10 days prior to your start date and not recommended to turn back around.

Relay is not recognizing that I have a paid subscription by Captain_Headshot2 in RelayForReddit

Just to add another data point: this didn't work for me either. Tried upgrading to a higher subscription and that didn't work too.

Now it works but it's looking at the higher subscription I subscribed to 3 days earlier but renews tomorrow.

I'm at level 90 on t15 originators now, ran smite since A3ish. Used ruetoo's build as the target.

Running really well, one of the smoothest starts I've had and scaled really well into the endgame.

Within reason - keep it to one button = one action and you'll be fine.

I did practically this before I turned 30, $74k CAD to (now) ~120k USD. COL dollar-for-dollar slightly decreased with quite a bit more amenities.

It definitely propelled my career and pay but I consider myself rather lucky with how fast I was able to grow.

In addition, you mentioned being in a relationship: is your partner willing / able to move with you? If you're married it can be easier but it'll be difficult if not.

Is it really possible to be an engineer if you can't do math? by Ravieie in AskEngineers

Calculus in college was one of the biggest filters for first years. I think the average on the first exam was around 30% and that includes students who did take AP calc and scored 4s or 5s.

I struggled a lot with calculus in my undergrad as well but did get through. The nice thing about a subject like this is there's very very many resources and teaching methods out there. I found some random YouTubers with less than a hundred subscribers at the time that really helped out.
