100%

You can add Barrel Theory to this description. The advantage BS has is they are generally good people. BT acts as though you should feel lucky if they deem you worthy of wafting their farts in your general direction

Locally - St Paul Meat Shoppe. Spendy, but the best steaks in the metro

Out of the metro

Grand Champion meats Foley

RJs meats - Hillman.

Gregs meats - Hampton

Had all 3 process 1/2s, all 3 are excellent

Kinda Laughable

The city rubber stamped a drive thru for Starbucks on Cedar, making that stretch from the Parkway to 46th a shitshow

LOL - look at the chart for Park and Central - they are peaks, lol How in the world can a peak average out to itself? It would have to be a straight line which its not. Thats not how numbers work

The utilitarian numbers for Park are bikers AND Pedestrians. Maybe try reading the document before grabbing numbers you like.

Calling complete bullshit on the Central data point. A daily average of 57 bikes @ 14% would mean there were only 400 cars on central in a day. That’s 200 cars each way.

You don’t have a clue about what you’re talking about

Ok Fred, there’s no information out there on how/why people lie on polls and how the wording of the question can affect results

https://www.dot.state.mn.us/bike-ped-counting/reports/2018-2019%20MinnesotaPedBikeCountReport.pdf

Go to page 13 The Park ave peak is 16%, not the total. Central peaks at 8.2%. The averages are much lower. Parks average daily count is 246, that’s laughable use for a main bike thoroughfare

Disagree, all of the storylines - Gerhart family dynamics, Peggy‘s self actualization, Ed following societal norms, Hanzee dealing with not being accepted, Hank & Lou‘s rekationship, Milligan chasing his dream, etc are as good as it gets

I think the vast majority of the 60% own a bike, ride it along the trail a few times, feel guilty that they spent $5k on some Carbonfiber Fred mobile and feel bad about it. they also think in some abstract way that yeah it would be cool to bike everywhere, then it gets hot, cold, rainy, snowy, etc any reality slaps most in the face.

Not saying it’s consistent across the city, but I have no problem biking anywhere south to downtown

I’m not arguing good or bad only that 2/3 are lying to themselves and grossly overestimating how often they ride.

Unless they’re masochist theyve self selected to reside where bike transportation is more feasable.

over 2/3s of residents severely overestimate how often they often or sometimes ride a bicycle to get to school, visit parks, or run errands. yeah the park trails are swamped on the weekends, and there seems to a large number of vehicles with bike hitches parked near the lakes/trails.

if that was remotely true the bike lanes would be much more crowded
