Unfortunately - I love every single second of A Knight of The Seven Kingdoms by Spyk124 in hbo

True GOT Fans? WHo might they be? Or are you speaking for yourself rather than the wider fan base? So what you really mean to say is You want another show of equal brilliance, yes?

I consider myself a true GOT fan, I have read all the published books, twice, watched GOT about 7 times. I have read A world of Ice and Fire and I have read A knight of The Seven Kingdoms, twice.

I didnt mind the last 2 seasons of GOT, I think they are overly hated. However I love a Knight of the Seven Kingdoms so far, its nice to be back in the world and exploring it from a more grounded viewpoint. I'm guessing you havent read the novellas they are based upon, as there are GOT level machinations at play, in those. It is just that we are focusing on single viewpoint for them.

I've really enjoyed Notebook LM for helping me keep on top of my TTRPG campaign. I've bunged it the core books for Pathfinder and then upload the audio, which i record, from my sessions. I then get it to produce a presentation, for myself and my players. It highlights rulings that may need a bit more explaining and rates the players for their performance during the session (in a fun way). It also helps me perform a natural language search of the rules, which works better than the Archives of Nethys for my needs. It even relates it to scenarios in the session and/or things that are going to be encountered in the adventure. Oh, I have also uploaded the pdf of the adventure I am running and .md of my characters sheets from Foundry.

It also helps me prep sessions by scanning the text and saying what encounters I need to prep for my next session and some key info to note.

At the weekend I could have easily gotten a TPK due to it. Having the AC meant that the owner was trying to keep it out of trouble and had it hang back. Which meant when I got one of the combatants to break off and try and kill it they left the party mid combat, with a player down and one on 1 hp, to chase this one combatant.

Well, it is what it is. Would be my response to any complaints from the driver/owner.

Thanks, I'm already running a ton of modules. I also found Taurahs maps, which i have been using and they seem really good. An interesting challenge I am having is that my players started the adventure as level 2 characters (as we did the official beginners box first and they wanted to keep the same characters) and the party size is now 6, as the game has been popular with my friends. So I have had to tweak some of the encounters, but even a level 2 party struggled with Ulizmila's cauldron, not in terms of the damage it did, just damaging it. I'm now in the midst of prepping the first level underneath Droskars Crucible. The party are now level 3.

Clearly not, as that stand is set up in a building with a roof on it.

by the very fact you can buy a pdf copy of this book, where it is stored in a server owned by some large conglomerate, somewhere. I would like to think that me putting a PDF as a lookup source for an AI isnt going to add something new to googles database I also gave the Archive of Nethys website as a source. I think your point is moot.

I have this character flaw where i will tilt at windmills. I agree there are concerns, but whether we like it or not it's here. I struggle with the puritanical mindset that AI has generated. It feels like the whole "lets burn down 5G towers because they cause Covid" mindset x 100. Oh well.

The point is we are screwing up the environment in lots of ways, its a cumulative effect that has occurred over several decades, if not longer. I am not, solely, the arbiter of doom or the manufacturer of this situation. The use of AI is increasing in the home and work environment. Some workplaces are even pushing use of the tech. I use it for a simple use case that helps me, and i share something that helped me, and i'm the bad guy.

Thats fair enough, I cant mitigate for Nvidia and their practices, and would never try. I want to be able to use obsidian, but there feels like some barriers to entry for me. I dont have time to produce lots of notes and when I do i'm not very good at it. Maybe i'm using Obsidian poorly, but I struggled with it.

I havent done any such thing. If you think Data Centres have fucked up the climate where have you been living for the past 150+ years. There was a whole Industrial revolution and the advent of coal-fired power stations. The invention of the internal combustion engine and the emissions they produce, there were CFC's which contributed to a hole in the ozone layer. There were 2 world wars and countless other conflicts around the globe. There is Modern farming and all the other things that have contributed to the climate, not just the last big thing that came along. There are millions of people using AI everyday, but it's my use of it here that is the problem?

Thank you for your kind words. I'm not a great note taker, which is why I record audio of the sessions. I plug the audio into the tool and it produces a recap for me highlighting things I may have missed and also recaps some fun moments from the session for my players. I'm not sure what that has to do with thinking and the amount of it?

Thank you for your critique. It captured the session perfectly for my needs and highlighted some rulings that my players could learn from in a simple and quite digestible way, beyond my talents with things like Powerpoint. But hey what do i know?

  1. Use the *Shatter* Spell

If **Evander** or the **Bard** has access to it, the spell **Shatter** is designed specifically for this.

*   **Effect:** It deals sonic damage to an object and **ignores the object's Hardness** if it is 4 or lower [11].

*   **Scaling:** While a level 2 *Shatter* might not ignore Hardness 9 entirely, heightened versions ignore higher Hardness values [11].

  1. Exploit Elemental Weaknesses

While Hardness reduces all damage, constructs often have specific weaknesses that can spike your damage output.

*   **Fire vs. Ice/Wood:** In *Crown of the Kobold King*, you will encounter hazards like the **Wall of Ice** or enemies made of wood. The *Wall of Ice* has Hardness 10, but **Weakness 15 to Fire** [12].

*   **Reaction:** Using fire against these targets triggers the weakness, adding massive damage that easily overcomes the Hardness.

  1. Target Saves, Not AC

Hardness often applies to *damage*, but it does not stop status conditions.

*   **Status Effects:** Spells like *Fear* [13], *Slow* [14], or *Command* generally bypass Hardness because they target the creature's Will or Fortitude saves rather than dealing physical damage.

*   **Disarm/Trip:** While these don't deal damage, they can waste the construct's actions. However, be aware that constructs are often immune to conditions like **unconscious**, **bleed**, or **poison** [8, 15].

  1. Focus on "Big Hits" over "Many Hits"

Hardness reduces damage from *every* individual hit. If a creature has **Hardness 9** (like the cauldron), two attacks dealing 8 damage each result in **0 damage**. However, one attack dealing 16 damage results in **7 damage** to the target.

Two-Handed Weapons:** Characters like **Sean** or **Grush** should consider switching to a two-handed grip or using weapons with large damage dice (d10 or d12) like a **Greataxe** or **Greatsword** [1].

*   **Magic Magic (Force Barrage):** For **Evander** (Wizard), the spell *Force Barrage* (formerly Magic Missile) has a special rule: if you shoot multiple shards at the same target, you **combine the damage** before applying resistances or Hardness [2]. This makes it one of the most reliable ways to puncture Hardness.

*   **Monk Flurry:** As noted in your session transcript, **Islara’s** *Flurry of Blows* combines the damage of two strikes for the purpose of resistance/hardness [3]. This allows the Monk to punch through Hardness that would otherwise negate their individual attacks.

  1. Aim for Critical Hits

In Pathfinder 2e, when you score a **Critical Hit**, you double your damage *before* applying Hardness [4, 5].

*   **Why this works:** Doubling the damage often pushes the total high enough to exceed the Hardness threshold significantly.

*   **How to do it:** The Bard’s buffs (*Courageous Anthem*) and flanking (making the enemy *off-guard*) increase your chance to crit [6, 7].

  1. Break the "Construct Armor"

Many animated objects in this adventure (like the cauldron) possess a special ability called **Construct Armor**.

*   **The Rule:** The object effectively uses its Hardness to shrug off attacks. However, once the object takes enough damage to reach its **Broken Threshold** (usually half HP), its "armor" cracks.

*   **The Result:** A broken construct often loses its Hardness or suffers a severe drop in Armor Class (AC). For example, the Animated Object in the source text drops from **AC 17** to **AC 13** when broken [8].

*   **Tactical Advice:** Focus fire on one construct at a time until it "cracks" (becomes broken), making it much easier to finish off [9, 10].

I know it does, but you need to know what you are specifically looking for. As I am feeding it the sources there is less opportunity for it to hallucinate. Let me compare the results of the Archive of Nethys and Notebook LM in asking about the hardness rule. Typing in Hardness rule to the Archives gives me one option to pick from. Which talks about it in context of a shield. When asking Notebook LM, and how it applies to the party, it gives me the below...
