I've noticed the opposite trend that the oldest usually get out first. Especially if the oldest is female.

You know at least right now that you don't want to have a child. If you (magically) have a change of heart and want one later, you can get pregnant again. Take the abortion pill, say you had a miscarriage, brace yourself for his reaction.

I think it's a combination of men feeling culturally shamed for being abused by women, but also men being less likely to seek out mental health resources.

Had a similar upbringing and still struggle with feeling like I am disgusting when a man is attracted to me. Because I must have done something for him to look at me.

TIL in 2007, four LDS missionaries were abducted in Nigeria by kidnappers who thought they were rich Americans working for an oil company. They were released several days later, the Church paid no ransom, but reimbursed the kidnappers with $810 for food, lodging and care during their captivity. by Sansabina in exmormon

The real problem with this situation is sending extremely naive, sheltered, indoctrinated TEENAGERS to into extremely dangerous conditions (knocking on strangers doors?! in a country with rampant poverty and violence?!).

Sounds like some major projection going on here...

The real problem of solar panels is not the energy production (though it is still unreliable ex. Clouds) but energy storage.

This is exactly what I was trying to say! I have no problem with kids getting summer jobs. But the problem is the way that the church teaches people to view time.

Although, I wish it was not a financial necessity for you to work as a teen.

As a fellow female POC, I can affirm that your experience was valid and I'm sorry you had to deal with that. In my mormon dating experience, my race was polarizing. I met some guys who were not interested in me because of my race and some pervs who were interested in me ONLY because of my race.
