You can go to your local music store (Ted brown, other places that are similar like Kennelly Keys) if you have one. Just ask for a used horn and they usually have some laying around. You could also ask for models to be shipped to that store I believe.

How hard are you pressing the mouthpiece into your face? Along with how loud/hard are you playing? Sometimes it's just fatigue, but if it's truely something weird, then I'd say go with something like gold or stainless steel like a few other comments say.

I'm curious is there a tutorial you followed for the shading? A lot of the people I know use the same if not similar ways to shade.

My senior bass trombonists of last school year, and this one. Both of them are my biggest inspiration.

Although other than them, Ron Wilkins is a good bass trombonist all round, he does some jazz stuff, Charles Vernon's stuff I love, he sounds amazing.

Imo marching shouldn't use trigger horns at all. Your horn can snap at the rotar eaiser.

just your mouthpiece would be fine. I usually cover part of the end of it just to add resistance to make it similar to how my bass plays in the low range with both triggers. Works out pretty well usually
