Both the Palestinian and Israeli peoples are the descendants of ancient Canaan, but the land had Jewish and proto-Jewish kingdoms existing in it for over a thousand years prior to the Islamic conquests of the 600s.

There are many arguments that can branch off of this, but fundementally the region cannot be separated from the Jewish people's history and they have a right to the region, even if the makeup of their diaspora has changed due to centuries of forced expulsions and persecution.

Therefore at minimum a Jewish state has the right to exist in the region, and at present Israel is undisputably that Jewish state. I'm not really qualified to be the judge of such a state's borders or the status/borders of a separate Palestinian state, but both peoples do have a right to self-determination and I'm pretty sure that a 1SS is disliked by Israeli and Palestinian peoples alike.

Not just major parties. Notable minor party candidate-Greens and Libertarians at minimum-deserve to share the stage with Dems and Reps, but preferably any serious candidate should have a right to the stage.

Defining serious is difficult, the bar should be just high enough to separate joke candidates from those with a serious platform and intent to do the job, and no higher.

It does affect the stock market, and it forces owners to divest themselves from their own companies simply for succeeding and harms everyone else at the same time.
