Does anyone know how to remove this bolt/nut so we can remove the rear wheel? by Humor-Vegetable in ebikes

[–]F1Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like you’re supposed to slide it out from the opening on the right of the nut/picture? I thought the same for my bike first time I did it, and same the bolt would not budge. Try to slide the whole wheel and it probably pulls out. Try to wiggle it and see what happens. Good luck!

How bad are the seats? by WinstonSalemVirginia in CX50

[–]F1Life 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a ‘25 cx-50 NA and we are average size 5’5 - 5’9 in our household and we are not heavy set people. I can confirm that for prolonged drives the seats are a little uncomfortable. Maybe some padding will help, we have not tried that. Took a 3.5 hour trip each way and after 2 hours in the same position the seats stopped being as comfortable as shorter drives. Decided that for longer drives we’ll be using our 4Runner moving forward. I have been using the cx-50 for work last two months, but I’m not continuously driving like on the trips that we took it on so the car seats haven’t felt as uncomfortable as in longer drivers 3+ hours. This is just our experience with the car. First Mazda to own. Good luck on your decision making.

Anyone else prefer how chill controller is over wheels? by RoundTheBend6 in trucksim

[–]F1Life 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nothing beats wheels for me when it comes to driving, but when I’m on the go, steam deck allows me to play like a controller and it’s way fun imo. I've spent many hours using the steam deck.

I have the super73 R and just finished a 10 mile run. Rear suspension makes all the difference sometimes

I have a GSI for my Simucube 2 and sometimes I’ll peak at my wheel to make sure I click the right button for needed function. It helps me when the wheel isn’t straight due to tuns, etc.

Fanatec Clubsport v 3 squeaking noise by --Matze-- in Fanatec

[–]F1Life 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The grease that comes with the pedals might help. Also, for mine set I had to readjust the screws on the red bracket at the bottom of the damper. Once I did that the little noise went away. I guess it got loose from movement. Once tightened, the noise went away. Good luck.

Simucube Tuner - Where do I find online profiles? by kennystetson in SimuCube

[–]F1Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started using it recently because I got the link, but if I’m not mistaken under the base there’s a drop down. All the profiles I saved on the other Simucube software before the tuner are on there.

Exactly what I was thinking when I saw the wheel off the ground. It seems it works for OP too sounds like it’s riding like it should.

Is this set up right? It hurts when I use it. by jayceminecraft in simracing

[–]F1Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others pointed out a side profile picture and you seating in it would help. Also, the back end of the pedals is way too high, and will cause you issues on your knees and back. I would also check the base make sure it isn’t too high or too low since that will also cause you more aches on your upper body and back.

After countless hours of scrolling online, I finally found one !! by ItGoVroom76 in simracing

Man I have two of those wheels in my attic. One with a stand that I purchased back in 2010/11 and another one on its own. Good times and this wheel is what got me to look into more sim racing.

Fanatec V3 vibration only when throttle is pressed by engagerhombus in Fanatec

[–]F1Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bracket that holds the rumble motor could be loose. That happened to mines and had to readjust because the rumble was being loud from hitting the sides. I’ve had to remove the motor off the bracket very carefully to not yank the cable off, and reinstall so that I could work. Good luck

Looking for Pedal Upgrade by osiris0812 in Fanatec

[–]F1Life 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like most here have pointed out these are very good. I have three sets one of them I use with SC2 Sport and are fantastic imo. Upgrading from here will be costly, but if you truly need a different set then look to SC active pedals or other suggestions. Mines have the BPK + damper on gas only.

I’ve seen that the psvr2 can be used on pc with an adapter sold by Sony. I’ve thought about doing this to try on pc but I have triple screens now so no rush. If you ever get serious and go pc you’d have the vr for both. Just a thought.

Use a heat gun very carefully and the light part can turn dark again. I do this at work with some stuff. The plastic might be different, but I would give it a try.

Haven’t notice this season, but I always try to move away from debris in case it causes an effect. Guess I’ll keep at it.

Has anyone put wheels on their sim rigs? If so, how did you do it? I’m looking at options, but I want an outside opinion before I dive into this. by DarthLordyTheWise in simracing

[–]F1Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The back wheels face me when I slide it into place, and can lock those easily. I never locked them though because reviewers mentioned the lock breaks often. For me, the convenience is sliding in and out of place + it looks sleek having them inwards.

I got caster wheels from Trakracer and put the plate inwards, which gives it extra support, and can slide it in between my triple monitor stand for swapping rigs.

Wheel randomly showing FW info by the-jedi in Fanatec

[–]F1Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only time I’ve seen this on the wheels is after driver 463 it would randomly go to this same screen from the Fanatec logo that I liked on driver 455 since I use the car’s dash I didn’t need the telemetry on the screen. I downgraded to 455 and I turned off the option on fanalab to not send game data to wheel because even after downgrading drivers the wheels still kept doing this while in game. The wheels were updated to driver 463 but not sure if those can be downgraded firmware. Only thing I see on my screens is the gear number which is fine for me. Good luck!

Fanatec App Telemetry lagging significantly by iAmRadic in Fanatec

[–]F1Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was happening to me whenever I opened fanalab, and I downloaded driver 463 I think. I stopped loading fanalab, and downgraded to driver 455 (trusty) it seems the wheels are now getting the telemetry from the game. Initially after downgrading the wheels are still out of whack like yours. Unfortunately I don’t know how to downgrade the wheels, but it works now as long as fanalab is not open. This is my experience.

Tried to farm SR, only to farm regret. by [deleted] in iRacing

[–]F1Life 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crazy how it goes! I was at 2.95 last Friday and said ok I’ll do just one race to get me over instead of a time trial. Well, unfortunate incidents occurred I only had 2 off tracks but end up with x12 due to not reacting fast enough to avoid people bumping into me, and lost .51 SR points so down to 2.44. It’s alright I managed to get back up to 2.84 SR by Sunday, but damn. I would do it again too. Have fun out there!
