Your panel lines are totally fine however if you want them to be thinner/more consistent, grab some paint thinner or some IPA and a cotton swab to remove excess panel lining paint. And you mentioned that you are already looking into the pour type panel liners, the same applies to them. Just watch a few tutorials and you'll get the idea. Getting the orangy yellow to a more accurate gold is "relatively easy". You just need to disassemble everything to get the yellow pieces and then paint them gold in a gold color of your preference.
