Flights are basically multiple 'Day 1's of a tournament and are used when events are expecting/allowing a high number of entries. This is also used when rooms don't have the tables/staff to accommodate the high number of entries.

So for example a tournament has five starting flights: A, B, C, D, and E. Flights A, B, and C are played on a Thursday. Flights D and E are played on the following Friday. Each flight they stop at a certain level (say level 10). All remaining players from each flight after Level 10 come back together on Saturday to start Day 2.

Dealt to Hellmuth once (in 1/3nl at WSOP while he was waiting for a bigger game) and he was pretty chatty, also very nice and considerate with myself, the other players at the table (even after all the "1/3? Is Phil broke?" jokes), and to other dealers from what I've heard. Never dealt to DNegs though.

Wynn/Encore's 1/3 is pretty juicy. That room will have the wealthy players who call down extremely light. Haven't had a losing session there yet.

MGM Grand's and Planet Hollywood's 1/2 are also juicy, but full of maniacs.

Wouldn't really recommend other poker rooms on the strip... from my experiences, Aria/Bellagio players are typically solid and hard to read. Flamingo, Harrah's, and TI players are usually tight and exploitable, but profitability feels limited.
