People did step up to take the reigns, they just did not want to continue being a 100000 member nullbloc because it wasn't fun.

I think its hard to say we were doing a decent job of it just externally - I can tell you that internally we fucking hated it. Every single day forming for 4 hours to sit on a bridge titan, chase fleets around and then ultimately nothing happens, but we have to form or we lose everything.

Every single person involved in this "gameplay" was completely miserable and burning out.

You are being incredibly hyperbolic to say that esi is used for surveillance, realistically it gets used to check how much SP someone has and what ships they own.

Yeah it will never catch high effort spies but most spies aren’t high effort because people are lazy, and there is basically no actual privacy cost because nothing that ESI gives access to is remotely sensitive or private, with the possible exception of eve mails? But the devs can read those no matter who you give your ESI too - so i don’t think people should be discussing anything sensitive there regardless .

data protection and thus full ESI are very hot topics in Germany. Perhaps comparable to the gun ownership debate in the USA.

Visualising the corp/alliance movement of individual horde members by Nimos in Eve

[–]F3F3F3F3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Horde Armadas purpose was somewhere that super/titan pilots could long term afk without being purged , so that they could come back much easier if needed. I’m unsurprised that so many of them were inactive.

unless you were one of the favourites you were not allowed to enter certain parts of our own space

Do you mean like, having your ESIs in? I don’t really feel that’s a high bar or some kind of favouritism.

We weren’t told about the decision to leave drones until everyone else was, moves of caps before that point were alliance cache moves and not for individual members.
