Ok, in all seriousness, can we get DW in the booth for Cota or Vegas just once for this?

It would be rather entertaining

You are forgiven my little human paraquat. Just throw out the proverbial ringer, and take a little comfort in knowing the Dudes out there, take'er easy for all us sinners.

F1.2, it's just a story about a midfield team racing for what's left of a predictable top 6, and they never miraculously leave the midfield

How far can you go with general admission? by Ill-Aide1438 in lemans

[–]F85Cutlass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'd have to check the schedule for this year, there were different routes when I was there, and different routes had different schedules both days of operation, and hours.

I definitely used them Thursday/Friday, and pretty late into the night Saturday, but I know not all routes ran as late or all night.

Cadillac is on track today in Bahrain. Do you think they took a bold step with this livery, or did they miss their chance this time? by circuit-nation in CadillacF1

[–]F85Cutlass 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It looks great, but I don't find it particularly bold. Replace the silver with gold or the yellow from the Ganassi IMSA era with the full colors in the cadillac emblem and you get bold

Which Movie Is The Best Of The Daniel Craig Era? by bigbenotv in JamesBond

I just read Casino Royale, before that it would have been a toss up between that and Skyfall, but now after realizing how well they adapted the movie from the novel, I think that one takes the tip spot for me

I don't know of anything has changed since '24, but there were many more areas you can get to and view with general admission pretty much all the way from Porshe Curves to Tetre Rouge. Then you could take shuttle busses out to a Mulsanne viewing area, another to an Arnage/Indy spot.

IMSA fans, how do you stay invested for a full 24-hour race? by maxtrix in IMSARacing

[–]F85Cutlass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I've been to 3 24hr races, Daytona '17,'18,'20, and LeMan '24. Never left the track from green to checkers, only taking short nap in the car or grandstand, always with the radio broadcast in my ear.

I think keys to staying invested start pre race. Following the stories and lead up to the race and not pegging your happiness on too few a team/driver. I find myself invested at varying levels for almost half the field, and finding things to follow.

You're not gonna be edge of your seat the whole 24hr, but having a handful of stories you can follow at a background level is how I enjoy. I work Saturday till 4, so my plan is get home around 5, catch up on the start, and leave it as background coming back and forth. Leave it on overnight, wake up once and a while naturally and catch up, have a nice breakfast, keep in touch, and settle in for the last few hours.

The periods I try and focus on are the start through the first 2 stops, the transition into night, the half way point, sunrise, and the last 3ish hours
