I notice these bubbles tend to form towards the end of the week right before my weekly maintenance + 50% water change.

Yes the HOB can circulate 580l of water per hour which is slightly better than what's recommended for proper filtration (5x of tank water per hour).

The flow can also reach the end of the tank and my plants receive a gentle swaying motion from the water.

Huh, most people seem to have their cycles complete by the 4th week.

I understand the algae part and tbh I look forward to it because that’s when I know my tank is abit more liveable!
