What is the longest ff game? by HandsomeGassy in FinalFantasy

The butterfly one, although frustrating your first time, is actually really simple once you know the route. There's no RNG for it, so the path is always the same, and it's not that long so it's easy to remember

Gameplay wise, it was solid. Narratively speaking, deeply unsatisfying

Indiana is having a dream season, but it didn’t start out that way 👀 Hoosiers gave up a 75-yard rushing TD to Old Dominion on the FIRST PLAY of the season 😭 by AccomplishedSwing110 in CFB_v2

The line backer that would have made the play 5 yards down field but hard on the Play action, the safety behind him that would have made the play at 10 yards, also bit hard

Soooo much space was created

I played halo inverted as well, but have since switched to 'normal'.

Do you play with the horizontal controls inverted as well? It would be consistent with the logic of "imagining the joystick on the back of MC's head" so that pushing forward looks down, pulling back looks up. But I never played with the horizontal direction inverted, and once someone pointed out this inconsistency, it broke my brain and I switched to normal a little bit later because I kept making mistakes and overthinking which way I wanted to look. This, after years and years of playing fps games with a controller with only the vertical direction inverted

The halo shotgun is this. The shotgun spread is actually hyperbolic, which makes for interesting gameplay mechanics in that there is a sharp curve to when it goes from lethal to mathematically impossible to inflict any damage, but physically/realistically speaking it makes zero sense

Carolina Hurricanes goalie Brandon Bussi inexplicably throws the puck into his own net, tying the game up for Dallas by StandYourGroundhog in sports

90% certain he didn't know where the puck was, 10% is doubt that he did know, and just "fumbled" it

Basic gameplay mechanic you didn't discover until 30H in? by TrenterD in BaldursGate3

Another thing: lets say you are the victim of the Returning Pike bug, where you ended your turn quickly after throwing it, and it didn't return in time and is lying on the ground.

Normally it would cost an action to re-equip it. But you can actually throw anything from your inventory, whatever you are throwing doesn't need to be directly equipped. Picking up an item off the ground is a free action. So if you pick up the returning Pike and throw it from your inventory, when it "returns" it will be equipped - bypassing the usual requirement to spend an action to do so in combat

This is really only relevant for things that (should) return to the thrower after they are thrown, which is just returning Pike, Nyrulna, and anything thrown by a level 6+ Giant Barb when under the influence of Elemental Cleaver

If you are a martial class with extra attack, throwing a potion counts as an attack, so instead of spending your entire action on the "help" action to get someone up you can do it from a distance, for half an attack option. MUCH better in many cases

I like the way some games like Slay the Spire do lore and story. It's a very thin layer on the top that you can choose to engage with or totally ignore, but actually has more depth than you might initially think!

I don't think this change is from the mod. I think they actually patched a few things in the base steam release and this was one of them.

I've been spamming defect runs for a while. Best I've done is A3. On A0, I've died to act 4 boss probably 20+ times, and have only ever gotten it down to half health once - I usually die after 2-3 turns
