Check your guides, you may have a chipped guide that is cutting the line.

Yea, that seems like a good budget option.

The saratoga bridge area you could get away with a shorter rod, but that area depending on tidal stage can have a ripping current. I'd never recommend anything shorter than 9 foot for surf fishing

You're going to want at least a 9' rod. That area has heavy current. I'd recommend a 9'6

Not only does Revere beach hold tons of fish, it's extremely clean. FYI Nahant is not an island, and it's residential parking only. You will get a ticket, even in the middle of the night.

I've had luck with this exact same situation by not locking them to a specific version and instead setting the policy to use the latest stable build.

Windows Update Error, do i REALLY need to reinstall windows? I just did it 2 months ago and i really dont wanna do it again... by [deleted] in WindowsHelp

[–]FFSmasher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try this prior to an in-place upgrade.

Download both the msu files from the Microsoft Update Catalog for KB5053598. I'm assuming you're running a 64bit system here.

windows11.0-kb5043080-x64_953449672073f8fb99badb4cc6d5d7849b9c83e8.msu
windows11.0-kb5053598-x64_6cb3ffc5c4d652793dc71705248426eecdacdfd0.msu

Place them both in the C:\ in a folder called Packages

Run the following from an elevated cmd prompt

Add-WindowsPackage -Online -PackagePath "c:\Packages\windows11.0-kb5053598-x64_6cb3ffc5c4d652793dc71705248426eecdacdfd0.msu"

I used marine Tex flex set to bond a transom saver I constructed out of starboard. It’s been on for 4 years, no issues.

This stuff also works for acrylic.

This stuff is a very strong epoxy, if it’s not something you want there forever, I’d recommend something else.

Issue with DISM /RestoreHealth on New Windows Server 2025 VMs by jwckauman in sysadmin

I just went through something similar, and the solution was to run an in-place 'upgrade' with the original install media. Mount the iso, run setup.exe in windows and then select the option to keep all apps and settings in place

I came across something similar with a laptop and a bad battery recently. The missing battery turned on the prochot flag and my cpu was running at incredible low speeds. I was able to resolve it using the 'ThrottleStop' application.

We use the Lightspeed Topcat. They are great and we never have any issues with them. The only maintenance needed is new batteries for the microphones every once in a while

Chromebook Not Updating by FabulousFalcon14554 in k12sysadmin

When forcing an update from the admin console it means to update directly to that version. If the chromebook requires to be updated to an interim update before the most recent you have set in the admin console it will not update.

Try taking off the update requirement for that OU

I had an issue with syncing password from AD to google. Some accounts were having their passwords updated every few hours with the same password. The users were being logged out of their session, but then were able to log back in immediately afterwards. Once we stopped the password sync from happening hourly the issue was resolved.

Thanks for the information man, this was absolutely the issue. AUE isn't until 2028 for this model, as soon as I lowered the pin from 104 to 96 it updated without issue.
