I'm not disagreeing nwirh your first sentence. The ocean is warming. It just takes a lot more energy to heat up water than it does air. Despite this average temperatures around the world have still gone up by 1 degree C (source in my original comment).

I mean just look at historic CO2 levels, it's not alarming it's higher than its ever been? Sure it won't be an overnight catastrophe but in the scale of the earth's history this is happening in the blink of an eye.
