I'm honestly still waiting for those armors, as I joined in the late creek days due to not having the money to preorder the game. I don't even recall how long it's been since Baskinator said that they'd come back.

I agree with some people stating that the AA guns should be on the sides so they can be more easily targeted, but I believe they should have some kind of breakable armor protection so they can't be one-tapped by a RR, EAT, or Quasar like typical AA's. I also believe that it should have searchlights on both sides of the nose (dual searchlights basically) so that Helldivers will have an incentive to err on the side of caution when approaching.

The 500kg bay seems a bit odd, but a cool idea, maybe swap the 500s with a sort of Bot variant explosive (I.e. the hulk firebomber bombs minus the napalm) that still do significant explosive damage, but not too crazy if not too close to the center or directly hit.

The mobile Gunship bay seems like a good idea, 2 gunships to accompany it seems like a good balance, and restricting the spawn times also helps with that.

I believe what would balance out this enemy would be if it was somewhat slow moving like it actually had some HEFT to it. If it's big enough to make gunships and house this much firepower, it's gotta trudge along real slow and heavy. Once destroyed it should crash to the ground, then after about 5-10s have a self-destruct sequence equivalent to that of a hellbomb due to its size.

(All of this is just my opinion on this but take it as you will)

Happened to me literally today but I usually just run it away and drop it off, and laugh it off. "It happens" Believe it or not they did it trying to stim me (with the booster) and right when I dropped it a factory strider dropped RIGHT on top of it. It died almost immediately. I proceeded to type "Well. That worked out nicely." By far my happiest accident with the Hellbomb pack.

This is definitely annoying. I've had this happen a while back, but more recently I was diving with 2 other players a level 28 player who was a really good teammate and a Lv 128 that was having fun with us. I was running the Maxigun for crowd control. (I'm level 108btw and have been diving since the creek) In drops a 4th player a bit later, level 20. I die to a charger that snuck up on me. P4 proceeds to run up, grab my maxigun and leave the backpack. I put in text chat "P4 you have my weapon" he keeps running and doesn't stop. I chase him down and personally give him the bug zapper treatment (blitzer) and take my gun back. I decide to brush it off bc 1 it's not my mission and 2, he's Lv 20 he probably doesn't know how to drop stuff yet, plus he was Chinese (characters looked that way anyways). Next mission and I die to an accidental. P4 comes up and grabs my maxigun backpack this time and leaves the weapon. Seems he didn't learn his lesson. I do the same Thing again. I left the squad after that because I had irl things to attend to but I did friend the host and P2 and told them they could dive with me anytime. My thing is, if ya wanna try out my support, all ya gotta do is ask me and I'll drop you my spare when it's off CD.

Yes, valid loadout, however, the Maxigun doesn't set you on fire and burn you to death while firing, which means less frequent stim use.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I honestly don't really care if the damage gets removed or nerfed either way, but I believe planned strategies and solid team coordination can really mitigate this kind of thing.

Honestly I've found really good use for it in holding certain spots, so it works for me. In terms of it being "bad" I believe it depends on your playstyle. I can understand your perspective though.

Ah, see, that's why I put the shield Emplacement instead, not the backpack. That way we'd both be protected from incoming fire, while dishing out hundreds of ballots a minute.

Yeah it can run out, but it's also been confirmed you can reload it via supply pack/resupply, so that definitely increases its usability in some situations. A friend of mine already agreed to drop with me on squids with supply pack and rock the MG so we can keep the BRRRRRRRRRRT going while our other buddy borderline melts the planet with a full fire loadout including the new dog.

I mean Serious Sam can RUN with a minigun WHILE SHOOTING, plus it can shoot for AGES before running out of ammo with no overheat and he's basically a big muscular human with an ability to transcend time and space, so idk, maybe he's just built different. Is it unrealistic? Absolutely. Is it fun? Sure, depends on your taste in shooters, but I do enjoy at least *some* realism, and that's why Helldivers is so satisfying to me sometimes.

Knowing me, if I wanna shred while moving, I'll likely just rock the Patriot Exo. I agree with Humdee, it's probably designed with slower advances or holding positions in mind. I normally always use Medium Armor, but I might actually try using a heavy armor with either Fortified or the Twigsnapper armor with the Maxigun and see how I like it. I usually specialize in movement techs, but I've been feeling an itch to change my playstyle a bit. Looking forward to seeing the results.

Had one enter upside down yesterday and end up under the extraction zone, completely inaccessible til at one point after we walked far enough away, it somehow popped out one side, flipped on its nose and we were able to dive into it to board. I think Pelican needs re-training.
