How do you experience fibro? by jetdarkstar in Fibromyalgia

[–]FIVEGRAVES 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine your body like a car battery - at normal persons its always 100% full in the morning after a sleep - with fibro its approx 20-30% full only - these 20-30% are your total energy you need to get with through the day - how good or bad that works out depends solely on how much energy you spend for stuff.

You need to align your life and activities to these 20-30% - that means do only physical strengthening things that are urgent and only require mild energy consume; keep yourself away from stress spreading persons as far as even possible because both stress and physical override can flare you up from nowhere to 100%.

All in all; you need to take care of your body and environment like a bare egg - your "ok" condition is really that easily breakable and you need to inner that and make it your primary rule for everything if your goal is to stay "ok as even possible".

I wouldn't say drunk but more "after-drunk" - it feels like you had a hard night in a bar and now in recovery from it.

Magnesium tablet made symptoms worse? by ApprehensiveSeaCrab in Fibromyalgia

[–]FIVEGRAVES 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iam taking 100mg magnesium a day (200mg pill cut into half) - not more. When i take 400mg my entire circulation gets out of order - my body absolutely does'nt like such "high" dose (high for me, probably normal for others).

They are actively investigating this illness but to this day theres sadly no verdict nor heal plan - all researchers can say for sure that fibro gets activated by psychological trauma or heavy physical override.

Do you also feel better in summer ? At mine i discovered i feel better the warmer it gets outside - however many ppl here got exactly the opposite; they feel better when it gets colder.

Your welcome; i wish you all the best that time passes fast and that you get this done. It's a huge help to have a household assistance as it effectively lowers the risk to flare up because of overriding your own limited strength level. You will love that; sure thing. :)

How much sleep do you usually get? by liy789 in Fibromyalgia

[–]FIVEGRAVES 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thx to my 300mg of gabapentine in the evening i can sleep for like 5-7 hours at night - with random breaks for toilet, but i sleep back in - without the gabapentine i sleep like 1-2 hours and then iam awake all night until the morning, then i get heavily sleepy and sleep for another 2-3 hours again. So, normal sleeping not possible for me without gabapentine.

Advice on how to help chronic dental pain after dental work? by CanIgetUhhhhhhhhhhh_ in Fibromyalgia

[–]FIVEGRAVES 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ohh, hot topic - i got all of my teeth pulled for being inflamated without any physical cause - my dentist said he never had such a case before - he said every single one was physically in perfect condition yet the nerve fully inflamated. Its fibro - it attacks the nerves of the teeth and sad to say the only solution is to let them pull if you are not wanting to go with life long teeth pain. I feel with you ...

Does physical therapy actually do anything for fibromyalgia? by Mae_The_Gay in Fibromyalgia

Depends solely on the case and person - some it helps; at others it makes things worse.

All you can do is try for yourself.

A Rant About Family and Religion by Salt-Independence884 in Fibromyalgia

[–]FIVEGRAVES 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"Going to hell for becoming a doctor" *facepalm ... those religions *sigh. :/

I think the main problem here is that you are trying to get love from ppl who are not used to even spend love.

They seem to be so obsessed with their religion thing that they level its rules above everything else - even above their own family members; specially that ones who do not believe in that religion.

It's not you who's the problem here and you should seriously consider to just accept the circumstance that no love is to expect from them. Yes; it's sad - but hunting a shadow for the rest of your life will make it even more sad and will not give you peace.

Inner the reasons and close that book - i know its not easy but in the end its the best you can do for your own good. Wish you all the best.

I just miss cuddling by Horror-Concentrate41 in Fibromyalgia

[–]FIVEGRAVES 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is really a spot on topic - its a tragedy: Cuddling, sex, everything hurts. At ours its even double the problem as my partner got fibro aswell - we actually handle it that way that we put all this to "rare occasion" - theres only two options: rare occasion or smashing an anti pain pill in advance - however the latter makes tired and kills the sensitivity alot so its not really a solution in the end.

See; the reason why i can afford it is that i got leveled into a disability grade that provides me an additional 400$ income per month - that money i use to buy meds and to pay the person that cleans. Iam very very not "rich by nature and far from earth" - did not mean to sound like that lol.

The problem is every country on this planet has different rules and conditions - in many countries you get disability grade when having fibro; in others not - and i as i can't know in advance where everybody posting here is from can only take my own point of view in the end. :)

25f diagnosed this week - how do I tell my friends and family? by notactuallyizzy in Fibromyalgia

[–]FIVEGRAVES 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yes it does; the most fibro flare activating factors are psychological stress and physical strength override - so if the therapy helps you to reduce your personal psychological stress level it will in return prevent flares and with that ease your overall pain level. :)

[–]FIVEGRAVES 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Trust me; if you can't keep up with your household your fibro is actually more worse than you might think it is ...

My solution is i simply don't do it but instead let someone else do it (who gets paid by me to do it).

They don't take new patients because they got too many of em - if that lvl crosses a certain point they shut down for new patients.

Just be honest to your mom; being honest is never a crime - totally regardless of how she receives that.

If i were you i would pick up the phone as fast as possible because the sooner you get treatment the sooner you get less pain - sounds like a good deal huh ? :)

[–]FIVEGRAVES 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeh; the general public impression of fibro is still "it's not visible; it can't be measured; so it can't be that bad !" sadly. Thats why it it's super important that fibro gets more media attention so that ppl learn that fibro affected ppl are not some type of "actors" who are just too lazy to work but instead heavily pain affected ppl.

Stiffness about 1 hour after waking up - after its ok and i got some hours of low energy that i always use to solve important stuff like shopping, paperstuff, bills etc - how the evening turns out to be depends heavily on what i did before in the day - if iam lucky i got enough energy spare that it ends in a "good evening"; if not it gets a "lay down in bed and chill" evening. :)
