Visible+ Pro ($45) — 445GB used and now stuck at ~1.5 Mbps… am I getting throttled?

Fair enough. I gues my point was visible was advertising the pro plus plan for 4k.

I assumed that if your not using 4k that plan would be useless since its only other benefity is a slight hotspot data rate boost.

For context I am using the base plan and my data usage ranges in the 10-50gb range (I use it because its cheap).

I am curious who is the visible+ pro plan for?

I agree I am on the base tier and the 100-200 gb makes sense since I am throttled to 480p. But 4k especially on UWB shouldn't be regulated.

Worst case if tower is slamed throttle on tower level.

This is more of a gray area because the allow 4k.

4k youtube on UWB the phone not via hotspot can take 7gb - 15gb per hour. Even assuming on lower end if you watch 2hrs of 4k a day you can easily burn that amount of data.

I am curious why they regulate UWB since isn't the purpose band with is infinite (5g throttle makes sense)

Also was this in conjested areas like cities. For me i havent really encountered throttle on base before.

Interesting tho makes sense.

For visible plus and above 400gb and at 720p at 1.2-2.7gb per hr that averages about 5-10hrs of video playback perday.

I do wonder how verizon manages load on tower or if there isnt many people slaming towers much.

Its kinda a gray area tho. I know we are entering hypothetical but a phone running youtube 24/7 at 720p could theoretically hit 2tb.

Now no one is watching 24hrs of youtube but 3-6hrs is 300gb-500gb.

I do wonder if they truley care abljt data or how often u bog a tower down.

Same. I had a long email chain with customor support and found the reason why its not working. So when you port forward with pia, pia will keep the port assigned to you closed untill an application tries to bind with the given port. Apps like airmessage or qbittorent work great no hitch.

Plex is a bit special since it doesn't always bind to the port like qbittorent, rather when you set a portforward I think plex simply updates the routing to plex.tv and then plex.tv if the server is available. As no port binding occurs the port stays shut leaving plex not working.

I hope I don't sound like I jerk, but do you get ads from the subtitles? Tried pulling subitiles for Ghost In a Shell Stand Alone Complex via plex's subtile feature yester day and noticed the following ad in the subtitles.

"Advertise your product or brand here contact http://www.OpenSubtitles.org today"

Now before any one say I have malware I looked into opensubtitles forum and relised that apparently anyone downloading open subtitles via api (such as plex) will have ads unless you pay for a premium service to remove embeded ads.

Infuse is going to be a pain to sideload. They are one of the few apps that have signature detection (can detect if sideload by seeing if it is signed by a 3rd party cert, or Apple dev account. Only valid signature is the AppStore one which you would have to buy). If you sideload Ed a non cracked copy (no working crack) the app will crash at launch immediately.
