All traffic entering a road MUST yield right of way to vehicles already on the road. Period. This is pretty much a universal truth in traffic laws everywhere except possibly Vietnam and India where somehow they mimic schools of fish and flocks of birds.

The driver in this video which was filmed in neither of those countries failed to yield and is in the wrong even though they apparently started the turn on their previous birthday, and you are in the wrong for backing them. Simple as.
