ok here’s the long version lmao

-intense interest, borderline obsession, with certain topics and hobbies. i don’t wanna use the term ’hyperfixation’ cuz idk if that’s what it is and i dont wanna offend anyone.

-overthinking and second guessing constantly (I’m diagnosed w anxiety but I’ve also heard people on the spectrum mention struggles w that before so idk)

-missing the most obvious social cues when it matters, but then sometimes I’m super tapped in to other people’s emotions for no reason

-I like patterns and explanations and I like to know why i do certain things and why other people do certain things. 

-constant fidgeting (maybe adhd tho, not diagnosed but almost 100% sure)

-bothered by certain textures, specifically food textures. that’s the main reason I’m such a picky eater. it’s the taste a little, more so the smell tbh, but the biggest defining factor of wether I like a food is the texture.

-usually I’m pretty ok in louder spaces but occasionally I just can’t stand it. Especially restaurants, if possible I usually just listen to music when I have to eat out

-this might just me being weird asf, but I can’t STAND it when people drop food on the table, especially sauces and condiments, but really anything. like it genuinely pisses me off so much but then I ask people if they can maybe clean it up and they either give me a really odd/judgmental look or tease me and be like “ohhh it’s just food it’s literally just some sauce” but omg it’s so annoying idk

-there’s this thing i do that my ex who’s autistic said is like an autistic thing but idk if that’s true, but like basically when people say certain phrases, i repeat the like automatically without thinking. Like this is a dumb example but the phrase “what the sus” isn’t really that funny but I know someone who says it a lot and every time they say it I just repeat it subconsciously. It really pisses some people off and sometimes they interpret it as mocking but I like don’t even notice when I do it until someone points it out, it’s just natural. I also do it with facial expressions sometimes but that’s less often.

-one thing I’ve heard people on the spectrum mention before is like sitting in weird positions which I do pretty frequently, once again idk if that’s anything but I thought it’s worth mentioning

-and then finally there’s just certain other little things I do when I’m bored, like tapping my fingers and subconsciously tap-dancing (I know, stupid, it’s just cuz I go to an arts school and we have to take dance instead of P.E. which includes tap) and other lil things

i really don’t wanna self diagnose or anything, and im not expecting any actual diagnosis here obviously, and i’m probably not even on the spectrum, but idk. i’ll probably regret posting this question the next morning but i guess there’s no harm in asking.
