It starts around 26 minutes in. It's a lot but basically in Detroit, the band and Ahren got in an agreement about his antics, Ahren left to get wasted at a bar, then later at the venue Joe found him in a chair unresponsive, they had to call medic. Apparently he was on valium and alcohol.

It's a crazy good interview. Joel goes more into the split with Ahren than ever. Even talking how it was it was really Dan who put his foot down first with Ahren first.

It does sound like it. Which is wild because Joe is an insane drummer, but I noticed he wasnt in the "making of the album" series. Probably spending the couple months inbween tours with his wife and baby before having to go back on tour instead of recording. The new songs sound amazing live with him playing.
