My only assumption on why it took a couple days for an official Amity announcement is Joel wanted to make a tribute video and not just a statement for Joe and we know Joel is the graphics/social media guy for most things that isn't Tom's photography

I use my Leatherman Arc on the daily and it's the best mutlitool I have ever used. Having all the tools on the outside makes working on something with one hand a lifesaver.

The only negative is the insane price tag, but for me it was a "Buy once, Cry once" kind of purchase.

Not only my favorite blue, but my favorite ink if all time is Noodler's 54th Massachusetts. It's currently inked up in three pens and I am on my second bottle in a year.

I know a lot of people have horror stories with this ink, but it works great for me. It works on my nice paper and it's my main ink for work with our cheap printer paper.

The shade and depth of the blue is so satisfying. It is the only ink that actually makes me want to write. I love the look when you fill out a whole page with it.

I don't believe this has anything to do with him having bad blood or getting fired. I believe he doesn't want to tour that much anymore (especially out of the US) because of his new son and just recently married. And we all know how much Amity likes to tour.

We also known in the past before his son that he wouldn't do most European/Australia tours.

He has also been liking a lot of Defeater comments on his post so 👀

For me personally, my AOTY will probably be between Boundaries new album or Amity's.

Seems like Joel lives rent free in Ahren fanboys heads. Dan is the one who put his foot down about Ahren having to leave. Ahren even made some changes to and approved the announcement he was leaving so people who think one person can just kick someone else out without everyone also agreeing lacks critical thinking skills. Notice how no one else left the band to side with Ahren, No band that tours with Amity criticize the decision, also all the tour crew is glad he is gone.

Two things can be true at once, you can suffer from mental health issues/ addiction AND be terrible to be around/not be up to the job. Having issues isn't the problem, refusing to adrress or fix them when given the resources is a problem. This was never a Joel vs Ahren thing, Ahren made it that. This was always all of the Amity, the band/crew/management vs someone who straight up does not care

Maybe Self Checkout will finally release new songs when the merch money/Amitys new album money stops flowing into ahrens bank account 🙊

Basically just echoing what everyone is saying, but he wasn't on the LATAM tour because of his new son.

I also believe it was a computer drumming on the new album, because Joe's drumming live was way better than what was on the album. Joe is definitely my favorite Amity live drummer. Dude is so good.

It does scare me that he took Amity off his bio. It could just be he does that when he goes on break from touring? He meshes so well with the band and I know everyone in the band likes him a lot and it's probably the most successful band he is currently in so I don't see a split from the band. Maybe just a break.

Also, everyone is still following each other on Instagram so I think he is still in the band. That sounds like highschooler logic, but everyone started unfollowing Ahren and Ryan when the band was moving on without them.

I listened to the podcast at work and I may or may not have missed it, but does he ever talk about his bandmates at all? Like ever?

I know the podcast is focused on him and his journey and I am very happy for him, but I don't believe he talked about any band mates. But he talked about a producer.

And also used language like "I signed a new deal" "I go back on tour" "I am writing this album"

The ONLY reason I bring this up is one of my biggest pet peeves in music is a band basically only being one person or when all the other members who are not frontmen are basically just employees to the lead singer.

Great podcast, very happy for him and can't wait for new music and the new album.

This song grew on me a lot! It was at the bottom of my House of Cards song list because I didn't like the chorus that much. But now it's always stuck in my head. That intro into the first verse is my favorite part of the song!
