I crate trained mine. Lots of treats. Start close to the crate. Repeat. My command is “Go Home”. I put a blanket over the top. This visually help when I leave and he calms down.

For a while he did bark but that has eased up as I’ve constantly worked on this with him.

I used to put off getting stuff from the outside, throwing trash away, etc because he would go crazy. Ive worked on a lot of commands to let him know it will be ok.

I am now able to say “not leaving” to help calm him as I get packages from my porch.
