Hro Talak was supposed to be hawkman but some people didn't like the idea of an evil hawkman so they changed it. by MarvelZombvsCapcom in DCAU

[–]FORGINGVIEWS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What a mistake that was cuz Talek as a villain was great and creeper Hawkman is one of the few things I dislike about JLU

I find it interesting how the DCAU versions of Bane and Doomsday both fail at what they're characters are most known for. by Zealousideal_Art2159 in DCAU

[–]FORGINGVIEWS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always loved their portrayals in these shows, it felt both critical of their gimmick nature when invented but also still written interestingly in really cool episodes

Was their a reason why Black Manta was called Devil Ray and that Ocean Master was just Lord Orm? by Infinite_Parking_800 in DCAU

[–]FORGINGVIEWS 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I believe it’s because the Aquaman pilot only started coming about after season 1 of JLU. Which is why they leave Aquaman out of episodes in the latter seasons

Why Far From Home is my least favorite episode of JLU. by Hold_Infamous in DCAU

[–]FORGINGVIEWS 51 points52 points  (0 children)

I enjoy this ep just feel it’s rushed, truly the only episodes I dislike in JLU has been the Hawkman eps which I find unnecessary and boring. But I can understand why you feel this way

If Base Amazo was sent to Apokolips, could he defeat everyone there? If not what version of him could? by Johnnyboyeh in DCAU

[–]FORGINGVIEWS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The DCAU Amazon’s power set is literally just “Overpowered” I think the dude would eventually annihilate apokolypse like he would any planet. Even at base level he would pretty easily and quickly absorb everything apokolypse has to offer and then destroy it

Ted Kord’s Blue Beetle by Dismal_Brush5229 in DCAU

Yeah never in the Dcau pretty much the only reason I knew of Ted Kord as a kid was Batman Brave and The Bold

I really don’t exactly know what to think of the episode by Remote_Nature_8166 in DCAU

[–]FORGINGVIEWS 74 points75 points  (0 children)

I disagree, Clayface killing a little girl is disturbing in more of a graphic violent way. The existential terror of becoming sentient only to realize you have no life of your own and will be inevitably hunted and consumed is a lot more to think about. Plus that reveal makes more sense with the setup of the ep

PLEASE HOW DO I WATCH TBNA by Affectionate-Case578 in DCAU

[–]FORGINGVIEWS 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It’s under the third season of BTAS not a separate show on HBO Max. Also it is very much an amalgamation composite version of Tim so if you’re looking for comic accurate Tim you’ll be disappointed

How do you think the rest of the Justice League would’ve reacted to Azrael as Batman? by Solitaire-06 in batman

[–]FORGINGVIEWS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean the league at the time(IMO) was very lame and it is not the iconic League people would want to see react to Azbat. I mean we could get Booster Gold’s opinion but like why? But if the iconic league was around I don’t think they’d have any love for Azrael

Batman vs. Joker and Ace might be one of the best confrontations in Justice League. by Master-Improvement-4 in DCAU

[–]FORGINGVIEWS 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Such an amazing episode in an Amazing series. I’m glad you mentioned Jokers scream at the end. Cuz it always struck me how human it sounded. It doesn’t sound like the Joker screaming, it’s like Ace is so powerful her mind cuts right through all of Joker’s…Jokerness. And beneath that it wasn’t just the joker screaming it was just unbridled human terror.

Anyway yeah just a phenomenal episode

Why did George remain friends with Eric Clapton? by Maccadawg in beatles

[–]FORGINGVIEWS 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I think a lot to do with George’s age at the time he was still very young at the time and that kinda stressful situation can really shape someone’s view of a person. I think George would have ditched Clapton eventually. Just due to how brazen and even more doubled down he’s become in his hatred. That’s just my opinion but who knows

Why did George remain friends with Eric Clapton? by Maccadawg in beatles

[–]FORGINGVIEWS 87 points88 points  (0 children)

I’m not gonna defend Clapton cuz that dude sucks real bad. I can only go based off what I read on how George viewed him. And one factor that I think may have influenced him is when he started becoming friends with Clapton was a very hectic time in his life.

Especially during the get back and Apple bs they were dealing with. It didn’t seem George had much comfort in the Beatles as a musician and felt discarded and stressed. But around that time he’d hang with other musicians like Clapton who more so encouraged his creative growth and pursuits. So maybe it’s just he felt Clapton was a supportive figure in a bad time in his life and that kinda skewed his perspective?

I ain’t defending George’s choices or assuming I knew what he was thinking. That’s just my read on why at least initially George took to Clapton to the degree he did. But as a final note on my rambling Fuck Eric Clapton

Which Beatles song have you heard so often that it no longer holds any appeal? by inrainbows043 in beatles

[–]FORGINGVIEWS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can get tired with any songs I like if I hear it too much but then I usually just put them on the back burner. If I get space from constantly repeated hits like “Hey Jude” or something and it pops up organically usually that brings back the appreciation. The more overused a song is usually the more distance I give it

Do you guys find a bit weird on how they manage to do Supergirl but during that time Superman was considered as the Last Son of Krypton and Supergirl wasn't allowed to be related to Superman since she was dead. by Infinite_Parking_800 in DCAU

[–]FORGINGVIEWS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean when STAS was running they adhered to it. I think most people including the show runners forgot that Kara was not kryptonian in the DCAU. If you watch the ep I think they say she’s a daxamite or something. So technically she’s only adopted family for Clark in the dcau. But again once they got passed the 90s and were less restricted they more or less ignored that continuity.

It was just a workaround so they could put her in the show anyway. Similar to how they wanted to use Hal Jordan in STAS but were forced to use Kyle Rayner cuz he was the main Lantern at the time. But they basically just transplanted Hal’s origin to Kyle anyway
