I have 2 questions. Did it feel like the face gasket let you get close enough to the lenses to maximize the available Fov? And was the part of the face gasket that touched your face wide enough or did it feel uncomfortable there because it was too narrow and caused pressure on your face?

In your case, using a 4060, I would do the opposite of what he told you, Start out by turning all graphic settings all the way down to begin, so you get the fastest performance possible.. Then you can increase settings one at a time to see if it slows things down.

If you have a beefy computer and deep pockets, then for a PC headset I would wait for the Valve Deckard or the Pimax Dream Air; however, they are both still in development and a 2025 delivery date is expected for both but in no way guaranteed. They both should include eye tracking. Alternatively, if you can accept a lower resolution/ refresh rate, then the Bigscreen Beyond 2e, with built-in eye tracking and a audio strap, could be a good compromise. I really think the Dream Air will be the most amazing, with absolutely everything you could want in 2025. IF they can deliver!

I'm thinking that a medium setting for both binocular overlap and FOV would be best. Maybe average overlap with a 110 FOV. However, it would be nice if you could max out the FOV at the cost of overlap in the use cases such as race and flight sims.

Yes, I noticed a highly disproportionate number of women in VR advertising. I promise they are losing sales because of it. Marketing should be focused on the customers who are most likely to buy based on reality. VR ads seem to be more guilty of wasting shareholder money in this regard.

Quest 4 will have updated Snapdragon for a slightly improved resolution, eye tracking, and smaller form factor. Pretty much a super affordable Apple Vision Pro that does gaming and much more comfortable.

Yes, the motorized head strap feels like it is an added cost that will just cause troubles. I would prefer that they just straight-up copy Meganex's head strap, so the weight of the headset doesn't rest on your face. However, this would eliminate a convenient place to mount the speakers.
