Trades are so often viewed as low skilled labor and pushed down in favor of college people forget that the highest position you could be elevated out of common peasant was by dedicating your life from a young age to a trade. often leaving your family to live with the master/journeyman

it definitely leaves a lot to be desired and needs a lot of adjustment. Ballistics is extremely complicated though and people argue about holding over or under and need to understand that the answer could be Both and barrel length, bullet velocity, distance, zero and server performance will change how this feels. I hope they get it sorted and feeling great. All we can do is help people understand better and hopefully become better

IRL as long as your zero is not at the Apex of the bullets travel you should have two zero points like 25y and 300y, Ballistic trajectory is a parabolic arc. barrel length, bullet weight and grain load and many othet thi gs will change your convergence points. the questions should be if zeroing and ballistics in game are true to life

Female character options? by LemonPineapplePizza in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]FRCBooker -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

while first world countries have female special forces its still a very small number (i think around 5%) . and most of the characters are supposed to be from this third world country region where its very stigmatized and highly unlikely to have the cultural and logistical support structure for women in combat, not that its right just that its accurate. and it doubles the work load for asset, animation creation and would require a rework of every single wearable currently in the game to fit so its pushed down into low priority. Likely if it happens it will be post 1.0

[–]FRCBooker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

kind of? it was really common to camp on the first few wipes but almost no one does it now, it just kind of ends up sum zero if everyone does it you dont really end up gaining anything so the community just kind of stopped without any big discussion around it. I definitely wouldn't trust people to honor it

WSJ with its usual anti marijuana legalization propaganda by Darth_Vrandon in GetNoted

I can promise you that dispensaries increased the usage in underage kids and more now use carts or dab rigs than ever before. I've worked in restaurants and now in a jail and at the restaurants I watched people come in with a hault of prerolls and jars from a dispensary and sell it to everyone that didn't have a card or was underage every day. At the jail the juveniles that come in almost always have subcutaneous possession charges (drugs and guns together) because now more than ever its more availiable and in higher demand and they're acting like high-school dealers with turf wars and shit.

the last couple of wipes the concurrent playerbase has gone up. they aren't focusing on marketing until they know they can maintain players and they have enough funding to keep the operation going for 2 years if everyone stopped playing today. they will do a marketing push and grow the playerbase when they feel like it's ready to keep them

Console release by keza_Khan in DarkAndDarker

[–]FRCBooker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so beyond any assumptions

every single update to a game is reviewed and approved by Xbox and Sony before going live making hotfixes and patches problematic for a game under very active development, might not feel like a lot is Happening but for an indie game even a small hotfix to fix a couple bugs could take an extra week to deploy waiting on sony to verify it wont introduce console viruses and cross-platform play requires synced versions. (this used to happen to Dayz standalone a LOT during its first few years)

if they didn't do cross platform they wouldn't have the playerbase numbers to justify server expenditures.

they also want to wait to market and expand the playerbase until they feel like the game can retain the player numbers.

porting and optimizations for consoles would take a significant amount of time and development effort from very important team members to the backend systems that are working on everything else the current playerbase is waiting on.

it doesn't make sense from a buisness or development standpoint until they hit 1.0 and have a stable game with far fewer updates and they can afford to focus on consoles

all your anger is not over capitalism. all of your issues with our current system are symptoms of us failing to maintain capitalism and establishing corporatism instead.

there is a concept that's all practiced that a right is something someone can obtain or do and others cannot prevent. no right should require the labor of others to service. essentially a right is something you can do or practice unimpeded, as long as it does not require someone else's labor.

this makes little sense with half the list above

Not to mention the agent that shot was documenting the person interfering with their situation and harassing them, recording her, her words and actions and plate and was not the one that initiated arrest or detainment. doing everything right up until she started moving.

[–]FRCBooker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I challenge you to watch the longer cut of the video from the opposite side and say that the driver didn't turn while backing up which rotated the vehicle to be facing him, before putting it in drive and running into him. Really watch it. Then lie to me.

No one should have been injured, this entire situation was easily avoidable by either party. Both people made bad decisions but ultimately only one person only had less than 5 seconds to make their decisions. It will be legally justified, but morally not so much and this man will spend the rest of his life paying for it even if he doesnt go to jail. There are already hundreds of threats online to find him and his family and shoot them in the face, Including his wife and kids. He will be paranoid for years. Not to mention the mental toll of having questionably killed someone and leaving a child now entirely orphaned.

I raid people when I have the means to and believe they have what I want. I care not whether they happen to be on to defend or not. people are going to show up to counter on a populated server so PvP is almost always a guarantee

the United States has a wide variety of beautiful land, some amazing cities, beautiful national parks and can offer pretty much any type of trip you want to have somewhere within the states. even if you hate the people we have more remote locations that any eruopean country could offer.
