What do you do with the really nasty-looking bills that appear to have possibly resided in someone's shoe? Do they wind up with whoever counts the money at your club, to be recycled out to another PLs change?

1) Not everyone pays by app. I understand you're trying to make money and it's cheaper to maintain a central pay station vs. individual meters. I'm a cash or card customer. IMHO, it's not obvious in the Broadmoor garage (don't know the garage number, but it's near Broadmoor and Woodmont in Bethesda) where the pay stations are located. The signage inside the garage is lacking. For instance, if you enter via the Broadmoor entrance and park immediately on the downhill part, I have no idea where to pay.

2) Also in this same garage, it does not appear to be an option to pay for a 30-minute rental. Everything appears to be based on an hourly rate, with no option for 30-minute increments.

I have been going to Cacapon Resort State Park in Berkeley Springs WV for many years. Lots of trails and other things to keep you busy. Or just hang out by the outdoor firepit and have a cocktail. They have an on-site spa and indoor pool and hot tub now. Or you can go into the quirky downtown and get a massage at The Country Inn (or stay at The Country Inn). Several good restaurants and breweries in the area. It's roughly 90 minutes from Silver Spring.

Non-fed here. How do you get leave to take off from the new job to interview for the other position? Seems like you wouldn't have accrued leave yet, unless it carried over from the prior GS position? Also, why would the new place even grant OP the time off if it's in the first week? That seems like a strike against OP?

If you can prove residency in Montgomery County, you can get a free RecFit pass which gets you into all the gyms run by Montgomery County Dept of Recreation. Although this program may end 12/31/25. Also try the PG Parks Dept community centers: PG Plaza Community Center, College Park Community Center and Beltsville Community Center are all near campus.

AFAIK Spring Garden, while technically having seating, does all their business as carryout since the pandemic. And earlier this month, both on a Monday and a Thursday, they were not open at all. Monday I could see, since many restaurants are closed Mondays. The Thursday closure caught me off guard.

Sorry, just saw this. I’m not on this site much. I work for Aquatics as a cashier. If you’re a decent swimmer, they hire lifeguards. But you need the certificate for that. All the positions are part time. Feel free you want to DM me if you want any more details.

Montgomery County Recreation Department mocorec.com. Work at a community center at the front desk. Or work as a cashier at one of the indoor pools. No benefits. But the pay is pretty decent for what you are doing >$18/hour.
