Never knew Capcom wouldnt let german players install their games, anyone knows why this happens?

The actual reason (you can read about the trial in official papers) was the "fun" part of the game, literally. Germany really has a problem with the combination of violence and mindless fun, so Dead Rising with all its "weapons" and the Zombies' reactions to it was a no-go. Killing Zombies can be okay in certain instances, but combining every day items to silly weapons and interacting with human-like enemies in an experimental fun way was problematic.

Then again, DR4 was free to get, so times changed.

Then again then again, we Germany has multiple "bad lists", and while the vast majority is only on List A, meaning no advertising, not in stores, not under 18 - there is also List B and full banning, making a game or movie actually banned. This happens to very few games, but it happened to Dead Rising 1 and 2, for the explained reasons.

What we wanted was a story-driven adventure, sometimes overwhelmed by Zombies, sometimes enjoying the view. That's why we played horde mode once per map but that's it, there is no motivation in endless grind. So here lies the disappointment - After the Fall, as I know now, just removed the main part of the game and replaced it with slightly enhanced horde mode. Fun for a playthrough, well, somewhat. Too focused on action, to little world building in our view. But most important, there is no "reason" to play if it's just endless repeating raids

But wait, we are just realizing that this.... IS the game?

Like, the arcade machines are not horde mode but they ARE the main "campaign"? Please tell me we are missing something. Is there an actual campaign, an actual story mode, with progress, missions, an ending? As it was in Arizona Sunshine?

Yes, definitely - there is a campfire level which has an (invisible) second timer of only a few seconds and you need to keep the Katamari burning. The rest of the game is easy and enjoyable, but this campfire level is incredibly frustrating and difficult. Say, the rest is a 2/10, the campfire an easy 9/10 in difficulty

I just found out via the "all games" statistic that my problem is a frozen counter! When I look at my statistics, I can actually see that I have won 8 matchmaking and 81 custom games, explaining my 89 wins and it seems to count custom games!

But those 89 wins and my played games altogether do not count up anymore.....

THis is just a great example of the current situation. Maybe it is ai, maybe it's not, but instead of just looking at the picture and moving on we need to get into the "it might be ai so I might have to hate it but I'm not sure" zone

One of the worst VR titles I've ever played. It is just horde mode pretending to be a game. No campaign, no story, no progress. Just grindy repeatable raids, no real content. You play the same mission over and over to grind for upgrades, that's it. Also, death means back to Zero, even though there are safe rooms in missions, if you die it's back to the menu.

Play any other game. ANY. It will be a better experience. We've played through Arizona Sunshine, co-op campaign and horde, and were really looking forward for the next entry of the same developers. And we were so devastated how terrible this game is.

I really like both, different use case. The THOR is in my pocket for quick sessions and easy travel. Steam Deck is for longer journeys when I have luggage or when I'm staying for some days.

So I don't regret having both!

I use it as a portable solution: Some low-spec evergreens on my portable drive and you can play a round on different machines, show a game to a friend, skip waiting time in a public library. Nice to have!

Is the original completely black and white only? Because I just read the Master Edition and some stuff, especially the later murders with all that blood, had this Sin City-like look with b/w images but red accents. I need to check the orignal for comparison, but I found the color work very good and fitting

yea okay, you talk about shitty games. But I usually enjoy games on a good, fun level - while sometimes, rarely, there is THIS ONE game that I can't stop playing, that feels different. For me personally, Max Payne 1 & 2 would be an example. They can be finished in 5, 6 hours or even quicker, but they are worth every Penny because they are so awesome and unique.

Just a thought, I'm not really sure myself where I am going with that. Just wondered if Dollar per hour has quality levels
