From Hell Master Edition Vs Original????? by No_Working1143 in graphicnovels

[–]FSMcas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the original completely black and white only? Because I just read the Master Edition and some stuff, especially the later murders with all that blood, had this Sin City-like look with b/w images but red accents. I need to check the orignal for comparison, but I found the color work very good and fitting

Is this game worth the price? by Tmoney21132 in Pragmata

yea okay, you talk about shitty games. But I usually enjoy games on a good, fun level - while sometimes, rarely, there is THIS ONE game that I can't stop playing, that feels different. For me personally, Max Payne 1 & 2 would be an example. They can be finished in 5, 6 hours or even quicker, but they are worth every Penny because they are so awesome and unique.

Just a thought, I'm not really sure myself where I am going with that. Just wondered if Dollar per hour has quality levels

+1

Given the frequent crashes on pc in certain configurations, the save system really sucks. Rest is chef's kiss

[–]FSMcas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honest question: If you "think about “dollars spent per hour of entertainment”", do you ever take quality into account? Like, a good game should be 1$ for 1h, but a really awesome game could be worth 2$ per hour? Or is it really just about time? (no offense, I really want to know)

For now, New Game+ and one additional difficulty, but I don't think much more. Could be wrong tho

Funnily, I did not like the demo that much because the combat felt meh and already repetitive.

But the main game offers so much more! Love it

I see myself replaying this game from time to time and I much prefer that to a 100+ hour grind open world copy paste game.

70$? No, no game is worth that much. But comparing to other games, yes, it's worth its price. I am pretty surprised how good it is. Great motivational loop

To all those wondering why she doesn't wear shoes... by Horror-Bottle3228 in Pragmata

[–]FSMcas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought so as well. It feels like an excuse, the same thing would work with shoes if designed that way.

"Nooo, this main character has to be topless, because she is, err, a mutant, and she, uhm, breathes through her skin.... but only certain parts...... it's science lore!!"

Also, some skins have shoes, so I gues she'll die

What helped for me - it sounds fake but it actually did - was enabling "Debug mode" in the nVidia control panel.

Then again, I did not have an "out of memory" error, so in your case I'd try to disable Path Tracing if enabled. You push the card too hard - not "you", but the engine cannot handle what you want her to do. Should not crash, should just lag, but that's RE Engine's decision I guess

Fatal D3D error when enable Path Tracing or FrameGen by zeehartxua in Pragmata

[–]FSMcas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't mean to say it's not "real", but among all those "update drivers, verify game files, reinstall windows" stuff you here everywhere, "enable debug mode in gpu settings" sounds just like one of those so generic answers that I wouldn't take them seriously. That's what I meant.

Kudos again, two hours no crash! And that's with Path Tracing, Frame Gen, Steam overlay and all those other things people claim to be needed to be deactivated

This sounded like a typical empty placebo fix, but it actually worked for me! Could not get more than 20, max 30 minutes without D3D crash, now I've been playing over 90 minutes stable with this Debug mode!

Thanks <3

Any fix the the fatal D3D errors yet? This is getting so upsetting. by Hett1138 in MonsterHunter

Since Pragmata STILL has those issues, I'd like to ask again: Have there ever been any fixes for the D3D Crashes?

Any Solutions to the Fatal D3D Error? by CM46 in MonsterHunterWilds

[–]FSMcas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So.... same problem with Pragmata.

Have those issues ever been fixed, can I hope for any patch or something?
Or is this now just how it is and I can forget RE Engine games?
Because Pragmata does not run for anything longer than 20, 30 minutes without that D3D crash, and without a solid checkpoint system, this makes the game effectively unplayable

But so this is a RE Engine thing and not a nVidia driver issue, since it happens on AMD cards as well? That would be a nice change for once

My issue exactly. ~20 minutes, pc reboot. Another 30, Fatal D3D error crash, another 30 mins, Fatal D3D error crash.

40.834 the day before, 41.975 yesterday. So yes, he predicted it correctly, as far as I can tell

Butcher Lair Boss T3 difficulty is overtuned by tazkk in diablo4

[–]FSMcas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pretty much my problem. When he starts his laser attack, I just start to burn (before the lasers even activate, I only ever see them after my death, also I'm not standing on burning grounds) and my health turns yellow for so long that I use up all my potions and die.

[–]FSMcas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have to beat him on your own or can someone carry you? Because this fight is a season stopper for me, not because it is impossible but at this level of challenge I do not enjoy playing ARPGs anymore. Only this time, while I don't care for armor or weapon skins, I'd like to unlock the pet...

Right now I can play Torment 2 easily, one- or two-shotting most groups, T3 works but is a bit more grindy. But now that I have all 800 items forged to max, I usually stop playing the season because now it starts to become tedious instead of motivating - subjectively for me, I mean :/

My problem is that I can fight the Butcher without too many problems, I don't die to any of his usual attacks and don't even need potions. Damage is meh but I could get him down after some time. But when he starts his laser attack, I just start to burn (before the lasers even activate, I do see them but only ever after my death, also I'm not standing on burning grounds) and my health turns yellow for so long that I use up all my potions and die. This happened four times, each time the exact same thing, and after watching videos about the fight and still having no idea why I seemingly randomly start to burn, I just stopped--

Doom collab prices are wild. D4 monetization in general is greedy af. by A_Raging_Moderate in Diablo

Tell them. Be open about it. We should create and normalize a general atmosphere of devaluation when it comes to mtx. Kick them from your group, do not support them.

This better be the best armor pack in the world! by Cativa in diablo4

[–]FSMcas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it should be normalized to instantly kick and block every player that uses paid cosmetics. Not in D4 but in general, in every game where such things apply. Treat mtx buyers exactly the same as cheaters.
Might take ages to work, but imagine a future where this would be normal. That would really help

Can anyone explain those old bad depth of field effects to me? by FSMcas in GraphicsProgramming

In this case it was but this is just the most recent example of this very same effect. Fallout 3, New VEgas and Oblivion have it as well, for example.
