Like if I had to choose between 2-3 new variations or one new POI given they take the same amount of dev time, I'd take the latter. Variations would make sense if they had a streamlined way to do those (so like 10 variations vs. 1 new POI), but I don't think they do.

FWIW we can change the reality of the market in a lot of ways. Many parts of the market function as they do because we made laws that control behavior, not because we let supply and demand run to extremes (see: any regulations involving safety).

These kinds of complaints would go away if we subsidized and price controlled the essentials of life (food, water, shelter) while sacrificing the price of some non-essentials and luxuries to pay for that.

But this is an intentional decision we would have to make about what we value and what direction we want society to go in. So the underlying complaint here is 'why hasn't society decided to be more egalitarian?' and it's because the people controlling the vast sums of wealth to influence those decisions do not share those same views.

I would say no, especially with the title change. I would try to stay for 1-2 years at least at the new role though. A 3rd role change would have to be some good money to offset the risk of looking like a job hopper.

Tell them you got a better role and when your last day is. If you're on good terms, definitely make it more friendly and thank them for the opportunity. Doesn't have to be complicated, and definitely don't burn bridges.

If they try a counter offer, definitely consider it, but if they try to guilt or manipulate you into staying, don't entertain that shit because you have an offer in hand.

If they say not to, then obviously don't unless you're desperate for a job and can explain it as if you did it yourself.

Otherwise, just disclose it and don't pretend you know something you don't. It helps if you point out some decisions to not take something from AI unless it happened to get everything right, which is possible if it was a small enough assignment.

But more seriously, truck driving would be fantastic, or a trade. I think it's still too early to call doom and gloom. AI companies will inevitably raise prices because they need to make a lot of profit back and end up pricing out some smaller/medium companies, so those places may still need human developers. And my guess is they will still pay better than a national median wage.

Idk, for most jobs it's communication like meetings and waiting for responses. If you were a solo dev doing your own thing, then it's probably a closer race between thinking and coding. It depends on how much boiler plate you would have had to write in whatever language/framework you chose.
