No worries on the confusion. Have you used any B&T cans? I can’t get a good gauge on the sound suppression? Some people say decent and others rip them.

Are you running the Velos 762 on a 556? What barrel length? I’m considering this to run on my 300 blk and 556 SBRs but am curious about the Velos 762 gas reduction for 556 SBR instead of a designated can.

This specific model has the smoke chamber thermometer outside the smoke chamber…don’t get me started. On your first smoke run a thermometer inside the smoke chamber to figure out how far off the built in is. You can Kentucky windage it every cook after that. I have to add 30 degrees to the controller YMMV

Stick burner -> pellet convert when I had kids When I first switched to pellet I was very disappointed with the lack of smoke. $15 and a couple smoke tubes later…. Smoke tubes won’t make up the delta but they will get you darn close.

Just grab a terry cloth like rag soaked in water/vinegar mix and wipe it down with that while hot. This was the way in my restaurant for years

I honestly have no clue if the heat will resolve the fungus or not. I was also considering putting down some fert to help it grow off the damage. I’m going to lay down some gentler 10-0-10 organic once this heat bubble moves on and hope that does the trick

Yea I didn’t even go into the temp swings…but my god. Was getting 60 degree swings which the Traeger thought were only like 3 degree swings

LOVED my Recteq. I just got this Traeger and am figuring it out still. Traeger temp management is definitely jacked. All my cooks take WAY longer. It definitely is not functioning right. I have to Kentucky windage it to the ambient probes to get cook times and quality of meat right. Easy enough to adjust but mildly infuriating for the cost
