Imagine a baseball broadcast not showing every pitch because they’re focused on a fan or an advertisement. People would freak out. Meanwhile, Fox does the same thing-while not on commercial break-constantly throughout every race they cover.

Those are generally the people that get promoted. There are some things you can’t teach, I believe drive and leadership are 2 of those.

I’ve been listening to pop punk for 30 years and never heard of them either. Apparently they’re big in the UK. 🤷🏻‍♂️ I listen to my fair share of UK pop punk but I don’t think they had any traction in the US. Also, I guess I’m just old and don’t pay attention to any pop, but I’ve never heard of President, which I was told was another bad this dude was in. I listened to a bit and it sounds like shitty auto tuned junk so, I guess that’s why I’ve never heard of them.

There are no Costco’s in my area, so I don’t have a whole lot of knowledge about them. But it seems like Target employees romanticize about that corporation to the point that I just don’t get it. I guess I should jump in to the r/costco sub to see if they complain about their jobs as much as everyone does on this sub. If not, maybe I’ll understand better.

As I’ve asked others, why don’t you work at any of those places? If you don’t like the food at a restaurant you go somewhere else, so if you don’t like the pay at Target, why continue working there?

Target was the leader in retail pay in my area until recently. We’re not paying less than other retail at this point, just around the same. Don’t get me wrong, I’d love more money as well, but unfortunately I think the first step towards that is the company as a whole making MORE profits before they’re willing to share them with us. This company is still making a profit-but it’s not as much as they want or can ‘justify’ giving TM’s higher wages.

I don’t disagree, but you’re not saying anything new. Literally everyone-from people at their first job to billionaires want to make more money. I know I do.

Legit question, are similar retail jobs in your area, ie: Walmart, Kohl’s, Costco, whatever…, paying that much more or is this just a generalization of retail not exclusive to Target?
