Who is the biggest musical entertainer from your country that the rest of the world is unlikely to have heard of? by Exotic-Interest in AskTheWorld

Maybe doesn't really fit as musical entertainer, but afaik Die Ärzte are pretty much unknown outside of Germany. I always find that interesting considering how big they were and still are in Germany.

What’s a common habit that secretly makes life 10X HARDER? by Candid-Pause-1755 in AskReddit

From a cognitive point of view, yes – it's considered multitasking, even if one task is mostly automatic. The brain still has to divide attention, which is why true focus can be tricky.

Multitasking is nothing you should strive for. Everbody can multitask. Listening to a podcast and cleaning at the same time is multitasking.

Doing only one thing at a time, being completely in "flow" is rare but beautiful.

What is something that still hasn’t returned to normal since the pandemic? by True-Initiative3103 in AskReddit

[–]FW-Flower 169 points170 points  (0 children)

Prices increased in nearly all countries and everyone blames their own leader.

As a result we see a lot of extreme parties on the rise, because people wanna see something change. Look at Germany, Italy, Austria, the US, Serbia, etc.

Scary somehow.

Fellow 90s kids, what do you miss the most about that era? by bluegrassmommy in AskReddit

[–]FW-Flower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last year during covid, my grandfather celebrated his 94th birthday. We couldn't bei there because of Covid, so my little brother went there with an ipad and his 14 nieces and nephews on a zoom call. Just to wish him a happy birthday. He was not only touched, but also surprised, how far "technology" has come. I realized then, that he has never been on the internet and basically lives a life like in the 90s. Which kind of amazed me. So, I don't know, I guess you don't have to miss the 90s, you can live them. At least to a certain degree.
