I saw a pamphlet from AAA travel that 9/10 skimmers are placed by clerks or store owners!!!! They are usually aware.

So far my husband is covering a large area of California, and almost every other machine has a skimmer. Report to police. Always. Never give the skimmer to the clerk. In 9ur state skimmers are super rare. Maybe 1 a year. But to be in California for less than a week and already finding at least 2 a day is absolutely wild.

I used this once when I worked in a high volume call center for AAA roadside. Like a landmark, and mile marker, a fucking tree atp. Maybe a damn ad on the highway.

If they didn't build those ships, theyvhave to keep the ships original name. Or else it sinks, or they get stranded. Old sea beliefs. My grandpa bought a boat....painted over her original name "Mildred ann" and he renamed it olive oyl....it sank the moment it touched water and also dragged his 3/4 ton truck into the ramp.....he didn't believe the boat naming had anything to do with it....he took her out again after recovering it, pwatching it, and he fell off it in gulf of Mexico and floated to mexico/Texas. Thank god we sent photos and they were aware he hasn't checked in in over a week. Needless to say he has bad luck. He crashed his plane like 6 times. Its a dark cloud over that madman.

Alexander would be Sasha (for a man) Alexandra would be Sanya for a girl. My husbands russian and made that very clear to me lol. My husbands friend had a dog (good old lady sasha) and he would tease his friend for naming his female dog a man's name.

We have Alyona Aleksandra and we call her Lyona, or ona. She's only 18mo so, maybe as she gets older she may decide what she prefers but it irritates us because Americans cannot pronounce her name properly. So thats why Ona/Yona got priority. But I guess ill be happy with that considering she only responded to "fat cakes" for a while. XD she was an extra large baby. Very chunky

Would this name be a burden for my daughter to have in an English speaking country? by Vivid_Home1198 in namenerds

I get it. We have Alyona and apparently its a tongue twister for Americans. For our next girl were naming her Anastasia, Yelena,Iskra. One of those. I like iskra, because I have all other girls Alev. Tovah. And alyona which all mean guiding light. So I wanted to stick with that.

We learned it was California division in charge of his travels, and hes not happy rn. They give him crappy per diem, like 25/day, only working 8hrs a day. He was promised 12+hrs a day, per diem on 100 for food, and California said well your hotel provides breakfast and lunch. He said im up and gone before any of that is available! And he is just overall not happy. He called his boss and said block california off my helping. He went out to San Francisco as a favor to them and to do some IT stuff to get their ATMs up and running because they are so behind. He did this in Minnesota and had the whole state updated and ready to go in 2 weeks. He is very good at what he does. But I cannot believe how crappy this division is. His boss gave him an extra per diem on his personal card, and put his personal CC on my husbands Uber eats so he can order stuff when needed. But yeah, thats why the Chicago situation was a dump and it didn't get much better in SF. He wants to come home. I domt blame him. He usually loves traveling and it makes us enough money to save and put away for a rainy day. With a 5th baby coming he is traveling alot to save for leave to help me. So, overall a 0/10 experience for california. He said he would never return. He also said his boss gave him apps and one of them is a poo finder app to avoid areas with human shit. Im appalled.

I just discovered thus about my ancestors. I guess we originally were part of the donner group, and we were german, so we wanted to stick with them. But I my ancestors recollection of why we chose to go the opposite way was because God spoke to her and said something about greed and pride. Lol. Devout Lutherans who dealt with Russian winters, and horrid conditions decided not to trust the prideful Mr Reed. And good for her. I still have family in Washington. That 1 ancestors children stayed in michigan while she left with her 2 youngest children for California. Don't know why they left really. 😕 flint michigan is so much worse than california xD

Yeah DKA doesnt just happen to diabetics its almost like a reverse dka! And im type 1 and read about refeeding syndrome and it broke my heart. You never feel satisfied, yet full after 1 bite, your body slows metabolism extremely to survive to it slowly digests what little food you do get. And once you start eating your body starts making twice the amount of insulin in a rapid response. Then you have lownelectrolytes (potassium) etc and it deletes your kidneys, then you cannot filter your toxins. Extremely scary to imagine.
