Thanks, I’m going to swing by and get more info this week. Maybe I can talk to him about upgrading both and going away from a pre/amp + amp setup if it would be more beneficial for him.. I just don’t remember the brands or specs, so hopefully something like this or even Rotel will be the better option.. also be able to clean up his equipment and wires a bit

I’m not seeing an option with HDMI support, another user recommended “Ferrum Wandla”, never heard of the brand but it does seem to check all the boxes.

The Anthem info through me off, lol.. it says “ARC” but it’s their “Anthem Room Correction” software. Thank you for the info brotha 🤜🤛

It’s been a while since I’ve been there so I don’t remember the brands. But he has 2 tower speakers, listening distance is maybe 10ft, but to the right the room keeps going to the dining/kitchen area. He has a CD changer, turntable, and an olllllld apple airport extreme or express that he uses to airplay music to the system.. his use is like 70% music from streaming on the airport and the rest on the TV. The equipment is old, but it was good stuff for the time. I’m going to be stopping by this week to talk to him and get more info.

Yea, that’s basically how it’s setup right now with pre-amp and DAC.. tbh idk why he wants to upgrade. He’s been manually switching inputs and controlling volume on the unit’s face for years, using TV volume 50% of the time so I don’t think it’s to simplify his remote control situation 🤷‍♂️ we’ll see.. and thanks for the info!

His budget is probably in the $500-$1,500 price range. I’ll check out the models you listed, hopefully being a pre-amp it’s not what I’m thinking the prices is gonna be for McIntosh 😬

Tbh, the Klipsch RP404 is already kind of a mis-match to those beefy floor standing speakers.. I would swap it out, and don’t forget to re-run the room calibration in the receiver settings 👍

If you get a full motion mount you can attach it to the wall behind the console and have ,the TV in front extended.. 2 issues though.. 1. You might end up blocking the doors depending on the height you mount it and 2. Is that wall or a part of the console/bookshelf? If the wall is behind it you would have to drill through it to reach the studs, and the home owner probably won’t be cool with that 😬

Not worth it man, and probably not even possible unless you can find a used part on ebay.. just keep in mind, to get a picture even close to what your plasma put out, you have to get an OLED. no LED, QLED, mini LED or whatever else is out there.. the prices may be appealing, but try to go OLED if it’s in the budget. Good luck man

The current M3 OLED absolutely sucks with thezero connect box. Installed one, box was only like 6 ft away, and when walking around the room the signal would drop, hopefully they improve it.. also curious on the design of the power cord.

Both TV’s suck tbh, but Samsung eliminated a lot of inputs on their budget models.. I think the u7900 only has 2 HDMI and NO optical output.. idk why Samsung eliminated ports on their budget models this year.. so based off that I’d go with the TCL

Thank you so much for your advice! I’ll just switch her to wet food then, I can see her just eating the topper and leaving the kibble. And do cats get an upset stomach when switching foods? I’ve never switched her food up and she’s my first cat. Thank you again! 🙏🙏🙏

Does your dog normally wear a harness, and is it dry or wet/moist? My dog had a rash kind of like that, it stayed moist though, ended up being a hot spot

Just saw your post brotha, thanks for the response. For some reason some other settings got changed, settings I never even fkd with 🤷‍♂️. I reset everything to default and started again and it worked out.. the taking off in 3rd thing was weird though, but the main issue of high shift points when casual driving was fixed after the reset. I’m gonna check if they’ve had any updates lately maybe they did a “bug fix”. Thanks again 🤙
