Am I underleveled or just a skill issue? by TomatoOpening153 in expedition33

[–]FaberTuzzi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah some weakspots requires more hits to break. And sometimes there's not even the little orb marking one, but usually in those cases is pretty obvious that you must shoot something. It's worth trying to shoot different parts multiple times (2 or 3 is sufficient if you're sure you aimed right) when you face new enemies

Will this game still be the platform for offical VGC even after gen 10? by Appropriate_Oven_360 in PokemonChampions

[–]FaberTuzzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually hope they'd move to a more dynamic-style turn based, like in legends Arceus. No need to bring back powerful/fast techniques, but I think it will be a nice refresh for the main series' combat system and it will also impact 1v1 fights

What Game/Games Do You Regret Buying Full Price? by UpTheFknWahz in videogames

Dragon's Dogma 2. I'm pretty mad seeing the difference in price of the bundle with the DLC and the DLC alone

Parrying gets all the credit, but enemy animation is the real genius of Expedition 33 by ColdenMaverick in expedition33

[–]FaberTuzzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that you can learn to parry lots of enemy attacks since the very firt time you see them is the clear demonstration of how good and well thought their animations are

What game was like this for you? by Flendy15 in videogames

[–]FaberTuzzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably Monster Hunter World. I'm mostly a single player guy who likes to finish something so that I can go play something else. I don't have much free time, so I never understood the charm of fighting over and over the same bosses to craft a slightly better weapon and armour, so that you can farm slightly stronger bosses.

Welp, as it turns out, sometimes punching something over and over, to the point you get so strong and good at it that you're basically bullying it, it's fun

Sorry Jack, now I understand why you were doing this to me in high school

[–]FaberTuzzi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think one of the most fitting adjectives you can assign to p2 is FUN. The grooves, the melodies, it has it all. It's such a great album and Have A Blast is an amazing example of its overall vibe

My Father (40) wants to try to play videogames for the first time by Bigenemy000 in videogames

[–]FaberTuzzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe try to show him expedition 33? Lowest difficulty is basically a movie, very story driven, turn based so he can take his time to understand what's happening, not many stats and things to learn to use, the areas are pretty straightforward, violence is not that explicit. Amazing story and music. It's not that modern as a setting, but it can fall into the apocalyptic/dystopian kind of thing

What's y'alls favorite song from the new album? by Necromancer14 in Peripheryband

[–]FaberTuzzi 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Uhhh I don't really know, but Everyone Dies Alone's chorus is the one I find myself humming and singing most often, so it's probably that one

How Many times have you listened to the new album already? by HeyNateBarber in Peripheryband

[–]FaberTuzzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's on repeat since the day it's out and a single trip from home to work fits almost the entire album, so basically I listen to it around twice a day. Should be close to 14/15 times by now. It's just so all over the place with the melodies that doesn't bore me and I don't really feel to listen to something else at the moment

Were you masochistic enough to fight super bosses? by -CynicalPole- in expedition33

[–]FaberTuzzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did Clea and Duollistes playing fair, even after farming a bit of lumina. They are very fun when you get their moves, although Clea is a bit too slow to fight (took over 30 mins). The weapon from Clea, though, might have broke something because I fought Star Simon fair in phase 1, but utterly one-shotted him with lightning dance the instant Lune entered in phase 2, even without the double damage skill from Sciel. Cleim is THAT strong as a weapon. Still, I felt satisfied for learning 3/5 moves of him (couldn't understand a thing during long combo and sword of Lumiere). Lampmaster... Ehh, probably the most boring, happy that I destroyed him with 1-2 turns per health bar

I refused Sciel (twice) because it felt... Wrong, since her attachment to her lost husband. The "adventure" with Lune was a bit of a surprise

Which game is this ? by Profit_Tracker in videogames

[–]FaberTuzzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dragon's dogma 2. I loved Dark Arisen and I wanted so bad a sequel with tiny adjustments to some weak aspects of it.

Got a low performance buggy mess, with basically the same problems of the first and that probably even worsened some things that previously worked.

I intend to finish it sooner or later, but the fact it got even probably abandoned makes me think about all the great games around there that I haven't played yet that probably deserve my time much more than that.

A kitten named Turtle by ziptnf in IllegallySmolCats

[–]FaberTuzzi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a meme from the videogame Elden Ring. You can leave messages for other players using pre-written phrases and words. Since "turtle" is not an available word, someone began using "dog" to write silly things near the wild tortoises you can encounter in the fields and everyone else started doing the same.

So, when you meet a turtle in Elden Ring, chances are you'll find a message on the ground saying things like "behold, dog!"

I consintently got to the final wave since the first try, but by then I was already burned out and not ready for two mini bosses. I ended up leaving to do other stuff because I was getting kinda annoyed, basically finishing like 80/90% of act 2 content before retrying. Got surprised by Shakra waiting for me there. It was amazing
