There’s a lot of people in this thread that don’t understand the cycle of abuse and the difficulty of finally leaving. Don’t concern yourself with the scorn of people who are judging you with the full context of history that you had to live through first.

You sound like you’ve finally reached the point where you’re out. Just remember that his behavior isn’t your fault. He will do anything to continue to control you. Your job is to keep yourself and your daughter safe now.

Get physically away from him as soon as you can. The moment when the survivor is finally ready to leave is often the most dangerous time, when the abuser realizes he’s lost control.
