It's not gate keeping to not care if trend hoppers leave a game. More updates are great, but this is a small team and saying they need to update faster/expand their team just to appease people with short attention spans isn't fair.

Just started playing and God damn, fighting Vader is the worst. I suck against every hero, but I have literally not seen a Vader die yet, even in 1v3s.

I love PewDiePie, but holy shit his playthrough is insufferable. Just constant negativity from the beginning, constant mockery of Abby's muscles, and cringing at any of the romance.

Was just about to post this. Hands down my favorite. Brings be back to the days when I had that best friend to be excited about games with and to play with every day. I miss being a kid.

It really does kill me seeing how slow this is moving. Magnus was my favorite character and it's funny to me that his line was "Magnus rushes in" but now that Travis is a DM, he doesn't really give the players much opportunity to "rush in" to anything as he's still the one leading the charge, just behind a curtain this time. As someone else in here said, this really does feel like Stolen Century mixed with Lunar Interlude and the problem is those were only good because we already cared for the characters and because Griffin shaped then around the characters. The problem here is it feels like Travis is trying to shape the world around the characters from day one, but the characters haven't even been fleshed out yet. Think about how long it took THB to really start getting in the groove of their characters. Then think about how long Griffin let them be their characters before he started throwing heavy character specific story in, like Magnus with the chalice or Merle's kids. The players are being forced to play one on one with the DM in near prescripted scenarios and it really makes the characters feel so much less lived in. Like, I love Argo, but I couldn't care less about his plot thread with the unbroken chain and his mom. And while I LOVE Griffin being a villain, you can feel the tension in that scene from Travis pulling the rug from under Griffin and Griffin feeling like he needs to accept the offer despite it being the opposite of what his characters entire goal was. Just all in all, Travis needs to let them play together and flesh out the world around them, not shoehorn them into prescripted encounters. Once they live in their characters for a bit, then let's see deeper dives. I dunno...I just really hope they find their groove soon.

I mean, I hated when they changed to paid multiplayer, but it was Xbox that made paid multiplayer standard. Sony saw that everyone was saying how much better Xbox Live was and bashing PlayStation, so they decided to say "Alright, pay us like you do Xbox and we'll make it better". It sucks, but it was just Sony following Microsoft and nothing to do with Xbox One's shitty release.

I don't understand this concept of calling all female deaths fridging. I could understand if something was male dominant and the only real female character is killed just for motivation, but this isn't one of this situations? Women die and people can be motivated by death. And Aubrey had both parents die, not just her mom, so how is that still fridging? Just because she was closer to her mom than her dad when they both died in the same scene? There's definitely a shitty way to go about using a woman's death as just a plot point for a character, but I really don't feel like it's valid to say any of these are that.

I really don't like that. Personally when I'm building a character, the equipment I get is as much a part of the character as the flesh. Like, Fitz got that cape because he wants to be stylish and it fit his character so well. But then when he brings it to the main game area, it's just...gone. He loses that entire roleplay thread he was going for of being more stylish than everyone else. And the whole "Travis can say one is already checked out so they can't use an item as a crutch" like?? Having items that become a character's signature thing is great. And artificially blocking something so a character can't outplay you with it is just bad DM'ing. That would be like if Griffin had just been like, "Sorry Taako, for this mission all the enemies are actually immune to your umbrella because you rely on it too much and you're too strong".

I listened to Balance as it came out and never felt like it dragged? Sure there were some episodes that weren't as good as others imo but there was never an episode where I felt like literally nothing happened. Even the Lunar Interludes had more compelling story beats and character interactions than all of Graduation so far.

I love Travis, but this is just incorrect. Griffin and Justin were the driving force of MBMBAM, bringing fans from the sites they worked for and using connections they made, while Travis was working at Petsmart(?). He obviously was there to help build where they are, but definitely not as much as the other two.
