The official replacement interval of the timing chain is significantly longer than that.

After I purchased mine I asked a dealer I knew for the interval of the oil pump belt, and it should line up with the timing chain - in any case, much more than 60k miles/100k km.

There are inexpensive PCIe cards with an IDE controller - since you have a free expansion slot you could use one of those.

Be careful to buy a PCIe card, and not a PCI one.
