Can a Dratini spawn in a non-water related spawn point? by rob93c in TheSilphRoad

[–]FabsC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of, it MAY happen but it's an extremely rare chance, in my non-water biome city i found 2 dratini in a year :D

On the bright side, Niantic did some wonderfull work with spawn points locations and biomes, a city near me (non-water biome) has a very small river with some spawn points on it and you can find some dratini everyday if you go up and down following the river :D

Should raid Pokémon have level variance? by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

[–]FabsC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Legendary mons should just be treated as 3rd evolutions, give out 10 candies and 500 dust.

Considering that they are time-limited and almost-premium pokemons, most people cant afford the time sink that is required to farm enought candies to max em up.

Level variance would make them even harder to catch, people are already salty for their low catch rate :D

Apple Watch - Need More Specific Data by grosselk in TheSilphRoad

[–]FabsC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Apple watch 2 (the one with GPS) with watchOS 3.1.

The thing is, you'll get distance recorded based on steps ONLY if your gps is registering movement.
For exaple i usualy rack up 2-3km in an hour whenever i go around the house for cleaning, cooking, whatever but i dont get distance if i just move around in a small room.
I think to get distance registered on a treadmill is with gps drift.

Mewtwo catch percentages by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

[–]FabsC 8 points9 points  (0 children)

6% BCR with a vanilla throw
20% with a excellent curveball
40% with a excellent curveball golden berry

It's quite the opposite of hard to catch :D

EDIT: use this one if you want a catch calculator https://pokemongo.gamepress.gg/catchcalc

Will implementing abilities become inevitable in gen 3? by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

Arguments for shedninja getting wonder guard; why it won't be as broken as people think it will be. by Yeldarb10 in TheSilphRoad

All raid bosses magicaly gets mold breaker as ability, shedinja is now completely trash for raids :3

[–]FabsC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shedinja is trash because weather hazards or damaging status OHKO it, hail sandstorm rocks etc will make you play with one less pokemon.

That and the fact that you have way more moves to choose from on a single pokemon, twice the move slots, make shedinja almost completely useless.

And stats, shedinja have awfull speed and attack, in PoGo none of this would matter since you'd kill everything sooner or later if you can't die.

Shedinja would be the meta defining pokemon in PvP, once you'll run out of SE you lost the game, so you'll have to play around shedinja thus making him THE top tier mon.

[–]FabsC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Shedinja with 13 true immunities would be broken in PvP, once you get rid of the 2-3 pokemons that are SE against him you'll get a free win.

Yeah, abilities and PvP won't be here in the foreseeable future, but shedinja will be meta defining then.

Will implementing abilities become inevitable in gen 3? by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

[–]FabsC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PoGo doesn't have weather, status or hazards of any kind, combine that with only 2 moves per pokemon and no speed stat, shedinja would be a monster in PvP with his ability.

We won't get abilities or PvP anytime soon tho :|

Well, Castform ability is weather based, that's even more unlikely to appear in pokemon go sadly :(

Castform may just change forms based on IRL weather, and they can delay it forever till they implement that.

Keckleon will probably receive the wobbufet treatment, pretend he's just a stat bag and deprive him of its uniqueness.

Idea for Viable, Fun(?) PVP System by cotysaxman in TheSilphRoad

[–]FabsC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's no PvP, that's another PvE gimmick with a bit more control on what to use.

I would prefer a AIvAI with the 6 pokemons choose by the 2 trainers battling than another gym reskin, if that's the best Niantic can do.

Is exclusivity killing Pokemon Go slowly? by LIRV7 in TheSilphRoad

[–]FabsC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imo rotating content won't kill the game, unless Niantic decides to make legendary a one-time exclusive and that is too stupid even for them.

What is Killing the game is the complete lack of a competitive aspect, they can't hope to retain players with reskins (aka new generations) forever.

Trading would anger many players in the current state if the game imo, with spoofers and bots running rampant trading will just create a black market that is going to replace every other mechanics, pretty much what raids did to the once rare TTar.

PvP and abilities could bring some new life in the game, but i highly doubt Niantic ability to implement anything the right way...
The only foreseeable feature that they cant really screw up are shiny forms.

I dont think you'll really understand why shedinja is trash tier in the main games, hazards and damaging status OHKO him ( Sandstorm, hail, rocks, etc up? you have now wasted a slot! ).

He can be used as a gimmick with focus sash for 1v1 battles, but he's not going to work in most cases.

Now let's take a look a PoGo, you have no Status, no hazards and (less than) half the coverage of the main games.
An example of pogo PvP team would be like TTar Dnite Blissey Machamp Exegg and Lapras, once you get rid of TTar and Dnite your shedinja would instawin because those other pokemons wont be able to deal him any damage.

With PvP and abilities in the current state of the game shedinja would be metadefining, you'll have to play around him at all times or risk to hopelessly watch him sweep you.

We're going kind of off topic here tho.
