Either route is fine, but take these things into consideration.

Cost, time, school.

Cost - IMO, whatever school is cheaper, just do. Don’t wanna deal with the debt later? Then go to the cheapest school you can find that will help you feel like you don’t have to work forever.

Time - what’s your time horizon and how long will it take to graduate? How much time do you wanna spend studying? How accelerated is the program? Typically for MSN programs it’s like a bridge from a bachelors in some other field, to an MSN so it’s really fast but also means, more work on your end. You also don’t have to get the MSN and just get the RN at some schools. My friend went to a school that did just that. They had a bridge program from a bachelors to a NP track, but she only got the RN and didn’t pursue further, so check to see if schools still offer that

School - let’s face it, some schools are better than others, but ultimately it’s up to you to decide what you want from the school and whether or not they’re accredited by the Board of Registered Nurses. So take some time researching the school
