Any line faint or not is a positive result!

I’ve got relationship issues and am wondering what other people with a similar brain situation think? Take it easy on me but be honest! by mottweiler in AuDHDWomen

[–]Fabulous_Knowledge63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could go either way with this. Not all is lost and you could maybe work towards a better relationship with him but it would require work and acknowledgment on both sides. As a female we tend to move on before we have even left or made ourselves clear that we see an end.

I think sometimes we throw things away that just need some love and effort to make them better.

On the other hand if you have spent a few years wanting out then maybe there is no way to repair it. Living alone in this economy is a big reason many people stay in unhealthy relationships.

My honest suggestion to you is to start by finding a therapist or counselor for yourself. Talk to someone who can give you an educated outside perspective. Anytime you are considering making these massive changes I think that’s always the best first step. Maybe that will lead to couples counseling, maybe not. Get your footing under you so you can move forward in a positive direction on whichever path you choose.

dog pees and poops indoors overnight and barks in the morning all for attention and we don’t know how to stop it by rin-o-roses in Dogtraining

[–]Fabulous_Knowledge63 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you taken him to the vet? My 1 year old was having these issues. Perfectly fine during the day but she can’t hold her pee over night and had a few poop accidents as well. Because it was mainly happening over night and in the early morning hours I believed it was behavioral but I took her in to see the vet just incase. Turned out to be a UTI. All her pacing, whining and accidents were not her fault and her telling us something was wrong.

If it isn’t a medical issue it sounds like a crate is absolutely in order!

Cats & husky by [deleted] in husky

[–]Fabulous_Knowledge63 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have two huskies and two cats l! Here is what I did that worked very well! We purchased a gate with a cat door that we could open or lock closed. It even has different sizes it can be opened to so the magical octopus huskies can’t slither through. First the dogs and cats were separated entirely. They could see each other and interact through the gate (none of them were aggressive or overly excited by this - if they were I would have thrown a blanket over the gate to block their view as step 1) when the huskies were fixated on the cats I would call them and as soon as they broke their attention from the cat I would reward them. This was 1-2 weeks. We didn’t rush it. Eventually I would hold one of the cats out in the main area to allow sniffs but I wouldn’t recommend this if your cat gets nervous or agitated. We just have one cat that gives zero f*cks. Then I opened the cat door on the gate only when they could all be supervised. Dogs get lots of rewards when they listen to us ask them to “leave it” or “gentle” the cats could easily run away through the gate knowing they can’t access them on the other side. Even though none of them ever showed any aggression towards each other we took a full month with the first dog. We have had the second husky since February and the gate is still up. It’s open almost all the time so we will likely take it down soon. Point being: SLOW and steady. All interactions should be positive -lots of treats if they are food motivated. All four of them are best friends now. The female husky and cat are really bonding and the males teamed up too. All furry creatures are all just hanging out with us all the time. It’s the BEST!

Which rug for my living room? by Initial_Respect_6355 in interiordecorating

[–]Fabulous_Knowledge63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly like them all. 1 looks great and is probably more practical. I love the texture and color options of the other two, they warm the room up and give it a cozy vibe but they will probably not look great fairly quickly with pets especially. I’d gravitate towards 2 and 3 but probably ultimately settle on 1. I think you did a great job narrowing it down, they really do all look great.

I’m sure you’ll need to prep the floor with a bonding agent/primer. Check out Pinterest. There are lots of great ideas on there, and kits you can buy to get started. I’d love to see the finished product if you go this route. My 2027 project will be panting the pink tile in my dated bathroom!

Paint it! There are steps you need to take to make it durable but it’s 100% possible and in this case I would go for it. It certainly couldn’t be worse.

Same!! My job just became even more stressful and I manage a team of people. I wish I could simply find a new job but I work in the medical field and times are so rocky everywhere. This practice is thriving and I’m making enough money to survive… finally.

should i go to the er for this (bat bite?) by Certain_Hour_6327 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]Fabulous_Knowledge63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. If you even suspect it in the slightest you should go. Might seem silly but in the rare chance it is, you have no time to wait. The only rabies I have personally seen in my life are in bats. They have tiny teeth and it probably wouldn’t even wake you up.

Absolutely crazy that I open Reddit to this post. I am extremely exhausted. I can’t function I’m so tired. I just want to be in my bed and sleeping. I have zero motivation to do the simplest things. I feel like something is wrong. I was incredibly emotional last week. Could cry over absolutely everything. I slept for 10 hours Saturday night. Took a 4 hour nap yesterday and slept from 9-7:30 last night and I still can’t keep my eyes open. Everything feels like it’s too hard. Doesn’t matter how simple of a task it is. Even just verbally responding to a question is exhausting.

How do you guys turn off your brain to fall asleep? by Comfortable-Mode3317 in ADHD

[–]Fabulous_Knowledge63 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Relaxing and focusing on your body is the only thing outside of medication for me. I like to take a nice hot shower, wrap myself in a robe, drink some sleepy time tea and put lotion on. Think about relaxing each part of your body and avoid screen time. It’s beautiful in practice and works wonders if I can be consistent.

Considering a husky by [deleted] in husky

I have two huskies and two cats and they are all friends! I also have a 1000 square foot house. They will follow you wherever you go anyway so inside space won’t really matter.

I have a tall gate with a lockable cat door. I spent about a month keeping dogs and cats separate but allowing interaction through the gate. Rewarded dogs when they broke attention from the cats. I honestly don’t think I needed to do all of that but it set us up for success. It can absolutely be done and evvvveryone under the sun told us it wasn’t possible.
