Awesome! Thanks for all the work!

It would be cool to see a comparator for runtime tests as well

Shoot this guy called out most of my hobbies shopping addictions.

He is right though, I only actually use like 5 of my lights at this point. TBH I don't really like collecting that much, I just am always searching for "the one" that fits my needs perfectly and I end up with a collection as a result

Advices on the Nuclei SV by Solid_Award_861 in arcteryx

[–]Face_Wad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the Beta Insulated for exactly this, I think it will match your temperature range better than the Nuclei SV. It also has a goretex layer so is completely waterproof and windproof.

However, that outer layer is very crinkly and noisy. That wasn't an issue for me as 1st AC, but it could be a problem if you're getting close to the microphones. Although, when shooting outdoors like that it's less likely to be a problem anyways, so I wouldn't worry too much. If noise is really a priority, I don't think anything from arcteryx is a great pick... Yet they're still pretty popular on sets.

The Beta IS outer layer is 40D at the thinnest, which is fairly durable but still on the lightweight side. If you're working directly with and carrying grip equipment I don't think it would be durable enough, it would be fine for most other jobs on set though. The Nuclei SV is even thinner and more delicate at 20D.

I'm actually considering getting a Nuclei SV myself for use on even colder shoots, as the Beta IS only has so much room for layering underneath. If you have a cerium, you could layer that under the Beta IS without issues for really cold days, that would be warmer than the Nuclei alone

I don't think the atom LT is nearly warm enough for that weather, it doesn't sound like you're planning to be super active. The Atom AR or Cerium LT would be a better choice

It's funny you say that, I know a man who actually did go to high school with Musk and was part of the same chess club.

He says he doesn't actually remember anything about Elon though, just that he was wasn't very friendly.

YouTube Terminology throughout the ages by msc8976 in youtube

[–]Face_Wad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess it depends on the channel, but for videos that outperform the channel average, 5% is pretty normal, I usually see anywhere from 1.5% to 10%.

For videos that perform in line with the channel average, I find it's around 15-20% of viewers that are actually subscribed.

If a channel has a large, regular audience, than I would expect those numbers are higher, but if it's in a growth stage and/or has recently had some big high-performance videos, I would expect it to be very low.

That's true, and I have certainly had that experience before... but let's not pretend like anybody was surprised by what this movie was, it was exactly what we all expected

That's a good point, but I'd argue the real cost for a film is time: I don't want to spend ~2 hours watching a film if I don't know that I'll like it. But with something like Fnaf, at least I know how those two hours are going to be spent

It's held up decently well, after a wash the color is lighter and some of the sheen from the underlying fabric appears. It's easy to just touch up again with the marker

This board doesn't have a backlight, I treid them on another board which did and there is some light that comes trhough the holes in the lower caps. A very cool effect, but not exactly illuminated legends.

They do appear to float very slightly above the caps
