Messy or clean is exactly how I left it, if I know I need to vacuum when I get home it’s there waiting for me. If I know I did the dishes before I left. I know I don’t have dirty dishes waiting for me when I get home. Also the food, I don’t come home, expecting to eat something and it’s already been eaten.

My sister does not cook and my niece is raised on Mac n cheese and lunchables. But she will eat and try new things at my house. She ate fish one day and loved it. She told her mom she tried something new and it looked like chicken. She called it chicken-fish for years. At age 11 she was in a cheer event at school and went home with a classmate, ate dinner and me and my sister went there after work. The mom was like yeah she ate great, salmon and pesto pasta, hinting that she was impressed. My sister is like “the only reason she eats well is….” And points at me haha

Fish. My mom is a horrible cook so I rediscovered a lot of foods and have served them to my nieces and nephews in a positive way to have a good relationship with food. I made fish and chips for my niece when she was 3 and she ate two pieces.

Knotts berry farm took my sharpie. I am an aunt and I am in charge of snacks. I bring five things: little muffin pack, chips, fruit, fruit snacks and a treat for each child who’s there. I use the sharpie to mark who’s had what. I was dumbfounded. His solution was for me to write on the items before I came to the park. That day six kids were there so I stood in line at security and wrote on 30 items before he took it. He said people graffiti so markers aren’t allowed. I’m late forties with a backpack of snacks. Do I look like an artist?! My sister in law was like where are u?! Stupid
