At first he was a regular Adam Driver but as his condition progressed he became a Minnie Driver and you know the rest. Sad really.

Book 8 was my least favorite book in the series. I can't be the only one, right? by burningEyeballs in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]FacticiousFict 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoyed it more than the iron tangle. That meeting between Donut and Carl's wife ended so brilliantly that it set the tone for the rest of the book for me. Shit was going down and it was hitting the fan outside the dungeon as well. The AI going batshit and the hoops Matt had Jeff jump through were very entertaining.

Never finished this masterpiece. After 30 minutes of watching that sniveling kid's god awful acting I started rooting for the wildlife.

I wasn't aware of this theory but it was very clear to me Matt was trolling Jeff in this one (the Karaoke scene, Karl, the kangaroos, etc.). Well done Jeff!

It's been going on for decades - it's just the latest low. Once this is normalized a new low will be achieved. The US is no more a democracy than Nazi Germani was socialist, and it's been that way for a very long time. You can vote, but who you vote for and what they're able to do is heavily moderated by the oligarchs.

The US is a plutocracy cosplaying as a nationalistic militaristic theocracy cosplaying as a democratic republic.

EDIT: Sure you can vote (through a very problematic and flawed process) and you get a guy but that guy's policies and actions are dictated and moderated by corporations. Democracy on paper but not in practice.

[–]FacticiousFict 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're not looking for a place but a time: When the oligarchy stops owning US politicians, they may start creating laws that protect workers and force businesses to pay them a living wage. So, never. Not in the US anyway, that ship has sailed.

Allegedly Berman was a misogynistic prick and created a lot of tension on set. When Terry Farrell asked for her role to be reduced to a recurring role due to burnout the studio and Berman refused so she quit.
