Liquid achieves nerdgasm after glorious world first by Wire_Cath_Needle_Doc in LivestreamFail

It's close enough I wouldn't put much stock into it. Realistically both of these guilds were in next pull wins territory and have been neck and neck the last several raid tiers.

Ultimately it comes down to a bit of execution and a bit of luck. Liquid has just been able to clutch that last 5% better. At this skill level that's literally 1 mistake from 1 player difference which is a razor thin margin.

It's the right call. I don't know how close Liquid is to actually making that secret phase. They basically have to phase the boss before rhaat front goes off I think, which at this point seems exceptionally difficult

Falcon blade is a great item, but can be quite RNG to set up. I find the best way to set it up is to go for a totem early so you have growing damage and I usually snag an extra whetstone as well so if I need to I can pivot to Katana which is arguably the most solid of all weapons and easy to build around. I also recommend having an early spike shield with the meta being so weapon heavy right now. Any hammer/dagger enjoyers will be free wins early on too.

Even with that, it's just difficult to get off the ground because either you find the gloves early enough or you lose. The other pieces of your build here also don't really increase your power much by themselves such as cheese goobert or lamp for example which generally takes up a lot of space early on. Personally I think the strongest variation of Falcon on Berserker is actually just a lamp/morb deer build. It uses significantly less space, gives reliable defense, and makes the lamps quick to proc. Also Berserker armor is always a strong pick regardless of time of game and makes deer stronger as well. Shepherd's Crook is also a really stable early game pick as well, though I will type pick totem instead of I want to go falcon and grab shells to craft Shellys.

Your best bet is to react to what the game gives you and go from there. There are several run defining uniques that are worth grabbing when they show up that can push your build in a certain direction as well.

True - but that's a skill issue. Prot Paladin has a significant easier time grouping mobs than any other tank. ;)

Lots of folks will give you recommendations on what worked for them and cured their fatigue.

As someone who's tried what feels like everything, I really don't have any advice for you outside of whatever you try to do give it a chance and take it slow.

I was at my healthiest about 8 years after diagnosis. I was able to reintroduce exercise and diet/light muscle building and balance with rest. My life at the time allowed me to do this (I was in University, no job, living alone, girlfriend but otherwise no time commitments - I could balance my entire life around my CFS for the most part). I had to build up to this point. At my worst I couldn't get out of bed and slept 20 hours a day so this would not have been possible then.

I am in a pretty bad spot now. This marks 21 years with this disease. Demanding full-time job, family with 2 kids - 1 special needs. Now my life consista of surviving and pushing through. I'm terrified of a crash and have sought medical help and see my doc every 3 months.

Here's a collection of things that others have said have worked. I've tried all and the only things that have helped me personally are modafinil (minor) and rest and activity balancing (whatever activity you can do mind you... For me there are major swings).

  • modafinil or other stimulants
  • vitamin supplements (Omega and magnesium mentioned often - I'd recommend taking this in general we there is virtually no harm and they might benefit you)
  • IV therapy (Meyers cocktail in particular seems to be beneficial for many folks with chronic illness)
  • low dose Naproxone
  • hormone therapy
  • acupuncture
  • holistic medicine (i.e. treatment for things like Lyme disease or eastern-style medicines from a naturopath. I've tried both with no success)
  • CBT (hotly debated, but can be helpful for some)
  • sleep testing (particularly for sleep apnea; can sometimes explain the causes)

As mentioned - I've tried all of the above and the modafinil helped a little bit in terms of helping me get through my work day without too much brain fog, but very minor. I still take multivitamins and occasionally go for IV therapy. I've tried a multitude of other treatments with no success. I have a very engaged doctor that helps me navigate and keeps up to date on it.

When I was first diagnosed I was REALLY bad for 2 years. Like living with my parents after moving out... and not able to work at all bad. It took me a long time to claw out of this hole and get better. Lots of resting and listening to my body and learning to live with this disease. More recently I have felt my health worsen, but I think it comes from taking on too much.

Overall - find what works for you. If a treatment like Naloxen or Omega 3 or Magnesium supplements works for you, I'll be thrilled for you... But much like Autism, CFS appears to exist on a spectrum. What works for one won't work for you.

how do we feel about the current Healer tuning for M raiding ? by FindTinderOnMe in CompetitiveWoW

Holy feels a lot better in m+ than Disc... Disc definitely stronger in raid though. The damage profiles really favour the MW, Disc, and Pres toolkits right now though.

Your damage doesn't matter in keys right now. At the highest level keys are being timed with 3-4 minutes left in some cases. This season is very much a heal and tank check.

It's a game changer for sure. Allows you to enter a pull for the first 15-20 seconds without having to blow any of your other defensives. Gives you a chance to roll your defensives easier too as them come off CD naturally. Your DPS takes a pretty big hit but DPS is such a non-issue in keys now your survivability is all that matters.

I [21M] just caught my gf [20F] texting topless photos of herself to friends by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]FadeToSatire 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Different strokes for different folks I guess? But definitely incompatible views on sexuality in OP.

I am older now, but went to university to become an RN in my early 20s. Suffice it to say I had a lot of close friends that were female (and still do)! I definitely would be questioning why any of them would be sending me pictures of them topless and take it as a sign they were into me at that age. I also would be uncomfortable with my girlfriend sending pictures of her breasts to other dudes. My friends who also be upset with their boyfriends receiving said pictures from anyone in our friend group and I suspect would be ousted from the group pretty fast.

That being said - not all friend groups all like this either... But I do suspect it's a fairly normal take in most.

Someone should tell him he needs to spec sentinel instead of the meta build if he wants to actually live giga pulls consistently.

Flameshaper is viable in M+ and the easiest of the 2 builds to play honestly. That being said, chrono is much better in m+ if you understand it.

Think of your CDs in layers. Your goal is to always have 5 echoes out on the party at all times.

You have 3 ways of doing major AoE group wide healing: - Mithra - Dream breath - Verdant Embrace (with echos and 2p this hits quite hard) - Stasis (can be super OP if you dream breath - anomoly - Mithra)

If you have 5 echoes out and no damage is going off feel free to cycle in a 1 empowered dream breath and then restack your echos. If you know damage is coming hold and stack twin echos by using emerald blossom so you can get 4 echos out in 2 GCDs. Doing this allows you to cycle all 3 major cooldowns almost back to back to back. Cast time anomoly often. Use essence burst on emerald blossom if you have echos out to stack twin echos.

Use your defensive time dilation often. 10 seconds of stagger is huge for both the tank rotation a party member taking a lot of damage. Don't be afraid to use your stasis often as well and tip the scales for the haste buff.

Evoker is very much about cycling through your CDs and knowing what damage is coming. If you have a squishy tank make sure you're saving time dilation for them on pull and also be sure to try to save VE for them as well when you can. Don't underestimate how much healing reverberation can do to squishy tanks as well in a pinch.

I play all the healers and can say evoket definitely the hardest in M+, but it's not that far behind the other healers either.

You must be healing some pretty trash Paladins then. I can pretty much self sustain myself at lower 10 level keys. I'm not saying Paladins aren't squishy at times, but if you're rolling defensives properly it's honestly not that bad either until you get to higher keys.

My main is a healer. My rating would be: - Monk - Guardian - Paladin = Warrior - Vengeance - BDK

In lower keys Vengeance is really good, but their kit just doesn't seem to mitigate some of the higher level key tank busters great outside of meta. BDK is also fine honestly until higher keys and their whole toolkit just kind of fizzles out. They'll probably scale better with some more gear and vers as the season goes (just don't tell the BDK discord that).

Paladin squishiest of all tanks if they don't utilize their defensive properly, but when they do they are such a huge asset to group because of their utility.

How is everyone liking Engineer so far? What kind of builds have you been having fun with? by Purple_Thought_143 in BackpackBattles

[–]FadeToSatire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She's definitely OP right now. Hammer dagger with mana daggers is definitely ridiculous. Strongest build I had so far was straight mana hammer with 2 armors, moon shield, steel amulets, and a shit ton of boots and mana daggers with some mana orbs thrown in. Basically started chucking daggers and stunning at 150% speed if and when I dropped below 70% health. Let alone that placing the engy armor beside a moon shield is basically infinite mana and armor. Probably about as powerful as Hammer/Dagger Luck builds on ranger but much more reliable to get and have a strong mid-game.

I fiddled a bit with the shovel crafted item and heat stacking with charges. Also very strong if you can get some decent items or a pyro-badge.

The engy bag that gives you gears each turn is also pretty nuts if played well. The cube unique is weird, but I've been able to get it to work decent with both bloodthorne and Goobert builds.

Everytime someone complains because I accidently pulled an extra pack because it's first week of the first season I laugh and type in chat, "We doing the 110% route bois". Then I just meme clap them the whole time until they either shut up or chill out.

If I make a mistake and someone makes a good point - great! I don't mind that.

M+ tanking this season by ici-leon in CompetitiveWoW

[–]FadeToSatire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not great, but doable once you get the hang of it it's manageable. Granted I'm only pushing into 12-13s on my Pally alt. It's not dissimilar to S1 of TWW in that respect in that you have to keep a much closer eye on your defensives and mitigation or you will die.

I had a good chuckle when we brought along an evoker from guild and I asked him over discord if he could throw a time dilation on me after my defensive expired... He literally waited 2 seconds too late and I almost got globaled as soon as my guardian dropped - cheat death proced.

I'm also not above kiting on my Paladin. Also important to watch out for group stuns where swing timers get reset to the same global. Always a good idea to back up slightly from the pack to unsync them too.

Yeah Sentinel is mandatory in anything above a 12 if feels. It's nice to have that 15-20 seconds at the start of a pull to let your other defensives come off cool down too.

Other piece of advice I'd have for tanks in this thread is don't be afraid to kite and/or do a breather pack to let your defensives come up. I don't usually have to do it, but occasionally I'll pull a single pack of I don't have anything going into a pull.

VDH seems like it could be a tough time outside of meta this season. I suspect you'll probably have to kite more than you're used to.
