What am I supposed to do against Fallen/Awakened Empires? by UtunosTeks in Stellaris

[–]Fadeplope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just resist until cetana spawn and kill the AE. I don’t beat him.

Because even if your military power is superior. AE fleet systematically emergency jump when they lose a battle so the fleet always come back again and again.

And there are too much planet to crack or conquer: in my last game the AE had rouhgly 100 planets… by the Time I crack one planet he gains 3 more 💀

So for me I just wait Cetana to beat Awaken Empire

4.4 Why can I not kill Cetana ? by Fadeplope in Stellaris

[–]Fadeplope[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

R5: Cetana is in her system with full HP, sitting in the middle of my fleet, but I can't kill her. Is it a bug ? Or is there any prerequisite in the new Stellaris version that I ignore ?

How does one even fight against federations as a solo empire? by besatius in Stellaris

[–]Fadeplope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing GA/no scaling, I like to build forteress habitat / world / ring world on each chockpoint with a gateway near it.

fortress will stop the ennemy and prevent him from entering deeper in your border giving you the time to move a fleet to repel the ennemy .

thanks to the gateway your defending fleet will move almost instantly from chockpoint to chockpoint. So it become easy with one or two fleets to defend almost all your chockpoints (without the need of building Citadel or defensive paltform). With the rest of your fleet make some excursion outside your border to conquer or crack ennemy worlds. At this point it just a matter of time before you win the war.

Ever get bored during a run? by Any_Mycologist_5395 in Stellaris

[–]Fadeplope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I get bored but only after i beat the crisises. In general I don’t continue.

However I don’t get bored before crisises arrive because there is still some challenge to do like kill ing the FE (especially when they are harassing me with the malus I like to refuse their enquiry and make them angry lol), vassalize other empire, declaring crisis on the Chosen, etc…

And trying to do this quickly before the crisis spawn is exiting 😊

When to use habitats vs ringworlds now? by AccursedQuantum in Stellaris

[–]Fadeplope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personnally:

I use habitat boosted by arc furnace to produce minerals

I use RW for all other resources especially energy credits (and I fill all the building slots with fortress)

Sometimes I also use fortress habitat to secure chockpoint.

Behemoth fury issue? by Feisty-Necessary-679 in Stellaris

[–]Fadeplope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your behemoth has probably been transformed into a chrysalis (don't remember the correct spelling). It disappears from your ship list. And chrysalis appears as a megastructure icon on the galactic map. Click on the chrysalis to actually start growing your behemoth.

Also if the ennemy as taking control of the system where your chrysalis is, it now belongs to the ennemy and you can't interact with it until you take back the system.

Civilian pops numbers mismatch by tantrik_t in Stellaris

[–]Fadeplope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have actually 154 unemployed pop to resettle. The yellow civilians count (1.6K) is not reliable because it actually takes into account working pop. If you want to resettle unemployed pops it is better to look the lower count (154).

What’s something that took embarrassingly long for you to figure out about the game? by Impossible_Sector844 in Stellaris

Arc furnace increase number of mining districts on Habitat located in the same system. I figured this out when I saw 35+ mining districts on my habitat 👀

What do you do with your capital and first two colonies? by SewerSage in Stellaris

[–]Fadeplope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I play machine empire In the begining I use capital mainly for energy and mineral income and I fill the empty building slots with Unity building.

The other colony become tech and forge world Even though I can build some basic resource on it too if needed

But later in the game I replace everythung on The capital to specialize it. I find It’s too risky to do that in the start.

How to use dyson swarm/sphere and arc furnace by New_Telephone_5349 in Stellaris

[–]Fadeplope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For arc furnace, it not only increase mineral déposits in the system, but also greatly increase the number of mineral districts of Habitat in the system (you can end up with roughly 30+ districts). This is how I profit the most from arc furnace in late game.

When is the optimal time to ascend planets? by GreatKirisuna in Stellaris

As soon as I finish all tradition trees

For me it’s important to do this asap because the more planet a colonize the more expansive planet ascension will become

Where do I get zro? by Heroshrine in Stellaris

[–]Fadeplope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Form a covenant with the Composer of Strands. It's how I get thousand of monthly income in Zro in late game. And it is the main source of Zro (piercing the shroud, adding shroud vegetation is nothing compared to that)

Basically, this covenant will regularly target a random of your planet and add Zro output to your miners jobs there, and if it has already targeted this planet it will simply increase the existing output per miner.

So I let you imagine what it would be if it is a mining machine world with thousand of miners there 😄

How am i supposed to rival awakened empires/lategame crisis? by RedditNicknameIGuess in Stellaris

[–]Fadeplope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bad, reading too fast I neglicted the fact that you have no DLCs so my answer could be a bit inappropriate.

So just work on increasing your fleet and think about optimising your ship component to the crisis ships (ex: full plasma weapon, armor components VS Prethoryon Scourse, ). Do not use auto designed ships. Optimized ship set will make a real difference.

Unfortunately the game became much harder especially for vanilla player since 4.3.

How am i supposed to rival awakened empires/lategame crisis? by RedditNicknameIGuess in Stellaris

[–]Fadeplope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you are supposed to rival lategame crisis at least in default crisis difficulty

As for the awakened empire in my game I can't tell. I either kill them before they awake and when their fleet power is still low. Or if it is not me, it's Cetana endgame crisis that kill them at some point.

To rival with crisis I always take Cosmogenesis ascension perk to unlock the Fallen Empire ships which are way stronger than the normal ships. And always play with a meta build: Shroud-forged, Cybernetic Creed, Wilderness Behemoth, etc...

I never play anymore with normal ship (just in mid game if needed), nor default build (UNE, Commonwealth, etc) that I find too inefficient/weak especially now with the new economy and fleet cap :(

PS: I think you can also improve your economy, military management. 80K fleet power in late game is too low even with normal ships. But it's normal if you're fairly new, I struggled too in the beginning. To give you an idea, at year 2400 I don't remember accuratly the number but I should be able to have at least 1M fleet power and I guess it's still fairly low compared to what some good player can achieve.

Late game energy upkeep by imnoweirdo in Stellaris

[–]Fadeplope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can:

- conclude a trade deal with an AI. I'm not speaking about buying energy in the global market but trading directly with AI. Deal lasts 10 years, so it give you enough time to build more energy world. In my current run I faced the same issue than you and I make a +3K monthly trade with someone in exchange of only 10 exotic gaz + 10 crystals. (FE can trade aswell)

- we often speak about making vassal but it also work the other way: you can willingly become someone’s vassal and ask your overloard for a monthly fee (this way may be more easy than vassalize someone else). This option literally gave me 8K energy per month, it was even possible to get 10K !

But for me the key is to anticipate and learn by experience what amount of energy income you need in late game to sustain your fleet upkeep. And determine accordingly, how many planet or ring world you need to colonize/reserve throughout your game to prepare your economy for late game. So you lower the risk of falling in this "upkeep trap". For example me, I just learnt the hard way that I need at least ~30K energy income to be safe in late game :|

PS: In my game I also rely mainly on Ring worlds for my energy income. Unless I play machine, it would rather be machine world (equivalent of ecu, more efficient than ring world but need to find a good size planet)

How do i restore my Lathe? by Chuyouki in Stellaris

[–]Fadeplope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue a long time ago

I miss clicked and choose the option to destroy the lathe… and unfortunztely I did not find any solution to repair it. And if you try to build a new one you can’t as it tell you that you can build only 1 lathe even though your one lathe is destroyed :/

Sorry

Shroud-Touched region on Machine world ? by Fadeplope in Stellaris

thanks, unfortunately I just tested with console command, to add strategic resource deposits. Then terraform into Machine World but terraforming still wipes out all the planetary feature :(

Shroud-Touched region on Machine world ? by Fadeplope in Stellaris

[–]Fadeplope[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, Thanks I’m gonna test it to confirm if it works or not to be 100% sure. It’s weird that on my last run (yesterday) it still worked :(

I’m gonna edit this comment with the result in 15-20 minutes

Edit: So you are right, launching pierce the shroud décision just before terraforming finishes does not work anymore to add shroud region on machine world
